Is it me or is diversity in the rap scene declining?

I used to be able to discover new artists that had their own distinct style going for them that were worth listening to but lately I feel like they’re harder to find.

No. Those obscure rappers with 3000 views on YouTube aren’t good, homie. And they’re not even original, even they copy each other. Diversity is meaningless if quality isn’t there.

Even then I’ll argue that there are artists today exploring frontiers of rap with there unique flows and melodies

Things are constantly being shifted and the family tree of rap just keeps growing and branching out.

Those aren’t the only other rappers that exist. Just get hip to the current movements

I agree and disagree because I definitely feel like rap artists have branched out over the years like you said. It’s just right now I feel like it’s a been bit stagnant in terms of the amount of new artists actually coming with something unique & decent.

i do kinda understand where the sentiment comes but i disagree heavy like even the mainstream (which seems to be an issue for a lot of people) theres a decent amount of variety. i for one enjoy all of it i dont give a f***
