even if you get the play or not. it’s such a fat limit to not be able to maybe go out hit it off with a chick and then take her back to the crib. it SUCKS

that’s the thing. I know what my life is like at home, but I don’t know what it’ll be outside of that. I picture myself in these scenarios where moving out will magically push me to make more friends bc I have a place to hang at or improve my dating life. As embarrassing as it sounds, those are really the only motivating factors.

You need to sign up for activities with other ppl like classes, recreational activities like hiking groups and meetups. Start talking to your co workers.

You should really make that list it will put things in perspective.

Meetup.com is filled with groups you can go to for people that tend to be new in town and want to try things and make friends.

i agree but im also afraid living at home is an automatic turn offf

feel like if they're cool and you explained what you were doing and that you're ready to move out whenever you decide they should understand

    i honestly don’t know lol

I had a job in university where I made like 20/hr working from home part time. I got about 3k worth of RSU’s. Same job paid for my tuition and my financial aid grants paid for my housing and food which is how I came out with no debt so I just stacked what I made in the 3 years I was in school. I also had a clothing business for a few months that netted about 4k total in a few months. Aside from that, I’d flip sneakers or random things here and there. Profit would be $20 to the highest which was an art piece I resold for like 4k profit one time. After that, I moved back home and my first job out of college at 22 paid 70k.

    damnnn good s*** homie

what was the job out of college that paid 70? and did it have to do with what you were majoring in if you dont mind me asking

27 at home paying off these student loans.

Stay home, save, go to her place if you ever find the one.

  • Jul 27, 2022

Considering your situation, I'd move out.

  • Jul 27, 2022

I’d stick it out at least a year and pocket the savings in rent if you can. It’s prob bc I’m 28 now, but imo 23 is a perfect my reasonable time to still be living with your parents especially in this economy

I feel like you have enough money saved where at the very least you can do a short term lease at somewhere close to home like you said so you’re close to family still. 3-6 months lease for a somewhat decent place is anywhere from 4-8k then factor in food, furniture etc and thats a few more bucks. Try out the bachelor life and see if it’s for you and after 3-6 months(depending on your lease term) either extend it or move back in. You clearly have stable income and can easily afford to im not sure what’s stopping you
