Hell no. We're all in this capitalistic trainwreck together and are getting screwed in different ways.

My wife and I have more student debt than most people could possibly dream of because higher education in this country is f***ed. There is no path to our careers of choice without it. A small handout is the absolute least the federal government can offer hard working, highly educated people with something to offer.

After spending 2.5 years getting my teaching credential, I entered a nonexistent workforce with budgets that are constantly getting slashed. There are few jobs and a lot of hungry, desperate individuals searching for them. I spent August to February not only student teaching for free but PAYING to do so.

    Write me a damn check.

No we need to ruthlessly destroy the planet in an organized fashion. Basically exactly what we been doing ever since the industrial revolution.

But doesn’t stoicism dictate that you must do what is right? How is destroying the planet right?

Oh personally I live a very moral life or at least I try to. I'm vegan, I don't buy new clothes, I ride my bicycle a lot instead of a car, I work for a homeless shelter, etc.
But humans as a species clearly do not deserve to survive and fortunately we our doing the absolute most to turn the planet into Venus 2.0

Yeah and we've been s***ting on nature as hard as possible ever since the industrial revolution. Every single climate accords has done nothing. Renewable energy is a joke. We've baked in 2c warming already and are ramping up to warm the planet by 5c doing nothing to slow down. Permafrost is melting and on fire releasing methane. Peak fish was in the 80s. Species extinction is at an all time high. Etc. Etc.

    We deserve to go extinct

What is the point of living a “moral” live if you are an absurdist though? Doesn’t that clash? And aren’t you basically pulling against your own ideology of letting the world burn by taking the bike and being vegan?

We may deserve it but why call this destruction a good thing? To me it's not a good thing

u should be mad at capitalism for exploiting people to such a high degree that essential workers make less than $15 an hour after taxes

I do what I think is right because it's the right thing to do. I also recognize the absurdity of life. They mesh very well imo.

But an absurdist wouldn’t care about the human race going extinct, yet you clearly want it to happen. And a stoic wants to do whats just, yet you do both things so clearly one of the two is unjust either being vegan or wanting to destroy the planet. I wouldn’t say you are a stoic nor an absurdist.

Anarcho Nihilist fits you more (my opinion)
