nothing wrong with that
but the dudes who run around and be annoying with their yeezus agenda are annoying
always thought yeezus was the hypebeast kid album lol
Your homies are real ones. I’ve posted this in another thread, but I have a friend who didn’t know who Biggie was until I told him about him last year. He raps sometimes which makes it even weirder. In 2018 he told me he didn’t know who Pac was either. I was like wtf, have you been living under a rock? I can understand not knowing let’s say, Styles P or Devin the Dude, but Pac and Biggie? Insane
that is insane how
like does most people on here even know 5 elements of hip hop
Drip, clout, lean, triplets and autotune might be their answer. EDIT: Rap Caviar, SoundCloud, face tats and No Jumper interviews are honorable mentions
like does most people on here even know 5 elements of hip hop
rap
grafitti
breakdancing
i forgot the other two
if I see another person whose first rap album was yeezus call it the goat ye album one more time...
!https://youtu.be/0JOuMzD2ccsThe amount of people who think that steaming pile of s*** is better than Kanye’s first three is absolutely insane
no but people shouldn't speak on stuff they don't understand
i mean they should lol but it should always come from a place of genuine interest in learning and trying to understand
that is insane how
I still have no idea. I’m pretty sure it has to do with the fact he do practically anything but game most of his life so he was sheltered from pop culture. Even that dosent explain it though, that’s equivalent to not knowing the stones or the Beatles
nothing wrong with that

my homeboy’s fav ye album is yeezus and he’s the biggest edge lord ik he’s one of those people who think CD and LR are “boring”and hates on s*** just cuz it’s acclaimed and popular
The amount of people who think that steaming pile of s*** is better than Kanye’s first three is absolutely insane
happy to be one of them
The amount of people who think that steaming pile of s*** is better than Kanye’s first three is absolutely insane
which proves the argument one side of this thread is making. they literally have no prior knowledge about these albums and therefore their opinion is just hot air.
i mean they should lol but it should always come from a place of genuine interest in learning and trying to understand

This is exactly the type of person I was just talking about itt earlier lmaoo
it's actually both tbh lolz
yeezus is more beloved by fantano fans and internet dwelling music elitist types
tlop is more beloved by the hypebeast kids and cacs who recently got into rap
both are good albums that have aged pretty well, but nowhere near kanye's best
i mean they should lol but it should always come from a place of genuine interest in learning and trying to understand
yeah should be a genuine interest which should guide you and explore music
i don't respect them less per se, but i'll 100% clown the f*** outta them if they try to speak on things like an authority ie. hip-hop fans on twitter and reddit
People on this site too who have only listen to recent popular rap on the charts. Nothing wrong with that but don't act like a musical authority

Like you mean as in not knowing they exist? Kinda hard to believe lmao. I mean I’m probably a example myself. I have never heard a full Jay z album until Magna Carta . I was in like 9th grade. Never heard pac and biggie full albums until I was 17. I didn’t particularly hear classics and impactful albums from late 70s 80s and 90s but I knew the people who was influential and s***. I think what most people want from new listeners is just to pay homage and be aware and acknowledge the ones who made the impact for hip hop culture.
