No, I'm not a fan of an argument that if music dope then it's ok to behave like an a******, and I don't think that people should even give artists who act like this attention.
It's hard for me to give as strong example as with CB or R Kelly because I don't listen their music.
I like Paramore but after their bassist told that on paper he was a session musician even after however many years, it deminished the value of the band for me, and I don't listen to them as often anymore. Before that Hayley was accused of basically setting up the contract as she is the solo artist, and in the end the cracks really have started to come out.
I was born in paranoia, it's poison for us
We can't create with joyous ambition, we're out of luck
The critics formed a new coalition and huddled up
The non-creators are now elated and out of touch
Why can't you gladly appreciate the influence we give?
Stop starin' at me disgusted, my substance made sure you'd lived
You want the head of the messenger and the history from him
Which eventually takes away from the good you accustom
Think of a life without the likes of imagination that's prosperin'
The bodies that you consider genius, you like to box 'em in
The great debaters and thinkers, that gave you a voice
Why can't you prosecute the crimes and not the thoughts I employ?
Because your better judgement will always look down on me
But if I recollect how we connect, you'll account on me
I got a theory that most of y'all won't allow to see
It goes like this, talent doesn't choose morality
See, if Daniel Hale was a killer, would you not want a heart?
If Carl Benz was a racist, would you stop driving cars?
I can't help we jump in these bodies and you called them a god
Just know the Earth is just a rock without the voices of art
Sincerely yours
if the art is about the incident then no
But then you're judging it the art itself still, not the artist

Why u Gotta make it complicated bro

People mentioning Kanye while others bring up niggas like R Kelly
There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a different opinion.

What about Hip Hop?
What about Hip Hop?
I find it hard because a part of the genre is braggadocio so personality is already an element
Unless we're talking instrumental albums

A lot of the times rappers live their raps so if they're rapping about killing etc would you find it hard to listen to?

No, it's more complicated. This dude wasn't just a session musician. He was with the band from the beginning and appeared in music videos and promos, but then he left the band and he said that while he thought that he is a full on member of the band, in reality in the contract, and I guess for his bandmates he was just a sessionist. Also he had zero writing credit on their last album before leaving.
Before that, two guys left the band and said the same thing that in their contract they weren't really a members of that band.

Depends on the context for me, if it's about being forced into that situation due to struggle then its immersive for me
If it's like psychopath type s*** then either they're snitching on themselves or playing a bit

Humm, fair.
Music is music, as long as you like it I don't see why people would want to restrict themselves from great music despite what happens in their personal lives.
No artist is perfect.
