I don't think dumbing down your style is an actual thing. You can overdress/underdress for the occasion and thats it. Honestly if your friends don't look for you for style tips y'all not really friends cause not friendly enough or it's always been just in your head lol

I don't think it is that weird tbh. In highschool most of my closest friends were on the football team and I'd be lying if I said I didn't use their social status to put myself in a better situation. That's what I meant really, idk how u took it
