Nope
Damn can’t niggas like Bruno and The Weeknd on here?
I do.
They both mad talented.
Notice how the weekend has been making nothing but old school sounding music ever since Bruno Mars dropped this
yea. he got 4
Thought about this more.
BBTM was him trying to use Michael Jackson as a genre to be big in pop (it worked)
Starboy was ok, lot of filler though
After Hours got maybe 2-3 plays maximum.
The answer to this gotta be no.
y'all love to make your faves some type of artistic martyr lmao they all receive love and hate. you, as a big fan of whatever artist you are, choose to center yourselves around the hate more because you don't agree with it. that's an independent decision.
regarding OP's question
when i'm evaluating albums i don't primarily look at "highs" and "lows" like some have been mentioning in here. it has to work as an album I want to play all the way through, not just pick my fave 5 or 6 here and there.
Starboy IMO doesn't make that cut and I don't play After Hours enough to make a decision on that. if it's between 24K and BBTM i think Bruno has the tighter album I'm more inclined to play in full (Perm is the only skip probably).
We need to have the conversation that House of Balloons should be in the pop album conversation...structure wise it’s a pop album through and through
The sounds just don’t line up with what the GP refers to as “pop” but if you go song by song they’re all pop songs
HOB>>>>any thing Bruno has released.
No disrespect to Bruno
when OP specified "pop" I figured we were going from BBTM forward.
anything pre-BBTM is better than 24K Magic IMO for sure.
That’s not The Weeknd
