Donda was dark, heartbreaking, uplifting, told a tale of a broken man on a path towards divorce and trusting in his faith.

kanye losing himself in fame (I am a god), but still being treated like a slave when he arrives in the fashion industry to the depressive dip of ICHML and finding himself again when a woman comes along to keep him strong (bound 2)
Dissect podcast breaks it down well
So many songs on donda are ruined by mid as rappers
Kanye use to make rappers bring their A game if you wanted to be on the next kanye album
But now he lets anyone on the album and let them have trash ass verses
The quality control ain’t there
The perfectionist kanye ain’t there
Kanye use to reinvent himself with every album and every album was an instant masterpiece
TLOP was Kanye’s last masterpiece and last good album
TLOP being a masterpiece and not even considering Donda a good album is an atrocious take

And I love Pablo, but I don't how it's even possible to considered it a masterpiece but acting like donda isnt good when they both share the same flaws
TLOP being a masterpiece and not even considering Donda a good album is an atrocious take
theyre extremely similar so that take makes absolutely zero sense
Highs on Donda are way higher than TLOP and some of those songs rival and even surpasses MBDTF
That being said TLOP sequencing is perfection while Donda is kinda weak in that regard, especially in the middle portion of the album — you could argue TLOP has this same issue but due to the shorter tracklist it gets away with it better
