Is this really as “woke” as people online are claiming or is it overblown?
This game turned my kids trans while they were at school and I wasn’t even contacted by the teachers
I’m only a few hours in but I can feel the woke mind virus infecting me, I’m turning gayer by the second. Stay away.
Nah but this really a top-tier rpg so far, they cut out all of the bloat from inquisition, for instance, every side quest I’ve done has been interesting and adds to the world-building or character development in some way. There’s no bullshit here.
Maybe it's just me but having the Parry indicator tied to main character instead of the enemy that's attacking makes it really hard to tell when there's multiple enemies on screen

You’re like what in the mid-game at this point? Is this closer to like a FFXVI? Combat wise at least? AI Companions become competent at this point? Don’t need them potentially carrying, but can they draw aggro, deal meaningful damage without needing to be directed to do so?

I’m sorry I haven’t tried FF16 yet.
If you’re on normal-hard then you need to be commanding your allies, you can hold L2 down to bring up everyone’s skills really quickly and it feels seamless. You can also pause and give commands with R1 but I don’t do that much.

Yea I get that but I guess what I’m asking is if it really feels like you’re in a party, or do they just feel like further extensions of the PC abilities? Like DD2, combat wise with Pawn(s) it can feel like you’re forreal adventuring with a group of people. If they’re leveled, and geared appropriately they can take down most mobs on their own given a little time.

you can fully kit out all 7 companions so yeah by midgame if you upgrade their gear and buy/find good s*** they’ll probably hold their own.
they each have unique skills distinct from your 3 classes, some play a support role others are attacks, and you basically select 3 that they’ll use primarily.
obviously the most fleshed out part of companions and the main draw for me personally is the social aspect though, it’s not as action oriented overall as DD2
Im 8 hours in and im finding it hard to keep going tbh the story isnt captivating me at all

i felt the same way about Dragon's Dogma 2 at first but then the ending was so lackluster, those good quests didnt make up for
How is the game guys? I've been looking forward to this but the people hating on it since apparently is woke is making me nervous.
Is it as woke as they are saying or is it like ME3 for example or Inquisition?

it’s called bloom and I hate when devs do this smh, might be wishful thinking but maybe they’ll patch a way to turn it off? Metaphor got a patch that made it so you could turn off the speed/blur effect when running, so devs are getting better at adding choices these days
