Omega Shenron has one of the most boring designs ever tho. It's the most unoriginal of all the shadow dragons as well. Honestly might be the first time I read someone say Omega Shenron design is inspiring to look at. I think Jiren design is meant to be basic because he suppose to represent a super hero, but that had to make him selfish to make him an antagonist.

I don't think it's been that long in the manga since the TOP. I think only a year or 2 has passed since then(Pan is 3 in Super Hero and was 1 at the start of the TOP) Super Hero take place after Granola arc.

My point was that in real time, they haven’t had any interest in returning to that content well quite yet. The indication to me is that they had/have a long game that they’re playing with this series, and a lot of ideas aside from just universal conflict

I think at this point they're just trying to connect loose ends and get to the finish line and then a new series that would start. It's not much else they can do because they don't want to change the epilogue.
