bobby jWAP and LNLC dropped at around the same time, yet I see people referencing WAP everyday while LNLC barely gets referenced. I don’t even have to get into the numbers.
LNLC is a way better song, but Drake should’ve held onto it for a bit longer
I see LNCL memes all over the TL, being used by sport accounts every time a game is on. Still top 5 on billboard.
But more importantly who cares? If having a #1 record was that important to him he wouldve done the same schemes Cardi & Travis be doing.

This year has been mediocre for him. I think he's genuinely strategizing a new rollout. If he dropped this week it would be forgettable. He still has enough popularity to debut at #1 with a great single but he's not providing the quality this year

CLBparadiseI think he’s just speaking statistically and also generally. WAP was #1 for a while and beat out every song by A LOT (billboard point wise). If not for WAP, Drake would have himself another #1
Having a #1 this year is basically meaningless anyways I dont see how it ''stole all its shine'' when ppl still streaming that song alot

Greece is at like #67 and POPSTAR is at like 21 only because of the Justin Bieber sponsored music video. Those singles should've been chart topping hits with longevity but they had no cultural impact. Drake could push the songs but there's no point in pushing a song if it's not accepted by the public. You can't force a song and that's the philosophy that I believe Drake operates by. Drake just doesn't have the 2018 sauce this year.
