He also had about ten more hits than Drake did that year

    and ended up selling 650k

  • I dont even like drake but unfortunately this man will still be making hits for atleast another decade

His level of stardom is unmatched tbh

  • Feb 24, 2020

he’s reached a plateau, I think folks itt confusing it with falling off.

The problem isn’t with Drake though, he has no competition to push him. He can stay the same and will be perfectly fine.

  • Feb 24, 2020

It really is going down after this album imo

Bieber was never bigger than Drake throughout his career.

And I don't think he'd need all that, he'd need multiple God's Plan level songs in a row which may be incredibly hard but I don't think that's impossible. Either way he's always shown to grow album after album so I guess we'll just see.

Jesus, how can you ever say that Bieber was never bigger.

Drake became a super world star after Hotline Bling lol

Bieber been known worldwide since Baby

Feels like he’s gonna be cancelled in the next few years for his thing for younger girls. Or maybe not cancelled but he will suffer the repercussions.

Those are first week sales. Overall though, Purpose’s sales were much bigger than IYRTITL. IYRTITL has less overall sales than FHD 2014 and you want to compare it to a peak Justin Bieber album

  • Feb 24, 2020

i was an early drake fan and i believe sincerely he hasn't done anything interesting since TML

Stop with the Drake hate threads.

  • Feb 24, 2020

I would say he's undoubtedly peaked but his fall off will probably be very very slow

  • Feb 24, 2020

drake feels omnipresent, until it happens i don't really think you can count him out popularity wise. a feature basically guarantees the song is blowing up (except that mikewill + trouble joint LOL)

quality plateau is a whole other conversation though
