Drake sitting comfortably on his throne rn the argument that he’s boutta “fall off” is invalid as if he’s somebody that still gotta prove his spot in hip hop. Plateau cause its between albums like always.
Fire & Desire > JIK
was about to say this lmaoooo
Plateau sure, I think he needs to be pushed outside his comfort zone a bit but he isn’t washed yet
Hopefully scorpion backlash puts him back on concise albums

His plateau is a lot higher than most people will ever get to reach even though I don't agree with the sentiment either way.
It's possible, but mostly because I'm not sure if any 1 musical artist in the streaming era (except maybe Adele) can be even more popular than Views-present Drake
Its a good take OP but drake is still going to come with the hits this summer.
It’s really his lack of peers (outside the other 3-4) that make his run last.
There’s no new amazing s*** that makes him seem outdated. He’s still kinda the guy.
He can avoid plateauing if he develops a serious heroin habit before recording any more music. This would be the best possible career move for him.
He would produce a deranged, dark, d***ged out experimental album that would be praised. He’d give grizzly accounts of life and the situations he gets into while being a fiend, and hustling pills on the side to fuel his addiction as people begin to distance themselves from him. Soon it would come out about his addiction and the media would be buzzing. Scandal after scandal would arise and he’d be the most talked about person in the world as he continues down this dark path of addiction and insanity. Then, he would get arrested for possession and do a stint in jail, adding credibility to the hard image he’s been trying to adopt for sometime. The #FreeDrake movement would be like nothing we’ve ever seen before and it would spark an international conversation about how we treat addicts (rehabilitative vs punitive punishment.
Drake would get out, get clean, and become the face of the opiate epidemic sweeping North America, opening him up to even wider audiences and platforms. His first album after release would sell a million first week and be praised, as Drizzy explores a whole new realm of lyrical content reflecting on his past degenerate behavior and becomes a symbol of hope for millions dealing with addiction. This would be great for his image, solidify him as one of the greatest rappers ever, and create worldwide change that benefits millions for years to come.
The best possible thing drake could do for his career is to start doing as much dog food as possible, as soon as possible.

In this post a WHITE man explains why a black king should pick up a hard d*** habit
Adele maybe. (I'd still say he got around there in my opinion).
Mj is impossible for anyone living on this earth right now. It could've been justin bieber for white America but he's trashed.
Drake would need a whole rebrand reintroduction new life new stories new writing. Pretty mutch become a whole different person behind closed doors in front of the constant speculation of social media and his fame.
Damn near impossible.
Jay did it when he married Beyonce.
Drake still has room for a whole rebrand

i guess but you gotta ask how effective it would be.
would it push him to be Mj Status? nah
Bieber's official album with mad promotion in 2015 did 650k first week, Drake with 0 promotion did 535k with days missing lol.
He’s prolly just basing it off that What Do You Mean, Sorry, Love Yourself #1 Billboard singles streak leading up to Purpose. Granted, the way Billboard counted streaming was practically nonexistent at that point and radio play that can easily be paid for counted for much more of chart positioning. Now streaming is prominent enough that it largely dictates the charts now (as it should since it reflects, at least far more accurately, what people are actually CHOOSING specifically to listen to rather than far more politicized radio play numbers. Not to take anything away from Bieber’s run of #1s in 2015, but the album sales I think are far more telling in general of an artist’s popularity. Didn’t Fetty Wap have some crazy performing singles around that time? But people weren’t flocking to get his album because people knew the singles, but that in no way means they know the artist — and then of course he’s unfortunately now largely faded into obscurity. But yeah, Bieber has been a sales powerhouse in the past (and even to an extent now) but idk that I would say he truly was bigger at any point in comparison to Drake Thank Me Later forward.. Even that debut did like almost 450k first week, I believe, in 2010 when music sales were at an ALL TIME low. I believe that Bieber may have been a name more moms and dads knew at home because of his ginormous, ferociously dedicated female pre-teen/teen fan base, but I think at least in the context of specifically popularity in music, READ: the entire potential listener base nation and even worldwide Drake has had it. I could always be wrong though
out @ kanye disrespect
JIK > anything drake released since '15
Didn’t know we have crack smokers on this website
I don't know anyone looking to Drake for a masterpiece album or a fresh, zeitgeist-shifting sound anymore, but you're lying to yourself if you think his career is ready to be put out to pasture. He'll be everywhere this decade.
A "Plateau" for Drake isn't the same as the rest of the industry.
He probably would do 500k+ FW Bare Minimum at this point until he becomes too old to be cool to the youth. That's still greater than a lot of our celebrated Legends' peak FW Sales.
He will be okay.
He has no one to take the throne so to speak so we wont see him fall off in popularity until the next "drake" comes. Kendrick got close but I honestly dont know if he can ever hit that level where he is a stimulus just for being on a track.

Right.
Eminem was still commercially dominant in the 2010s despite making the worst albums of his career.
Drake is Black ofc but his consumer base is more in line with Pop Stars and Crossover Rappers like Eminem than it is a purely rap fanbase.
As long as his music stays consistent and nobody in his lane begins to outdo him musically he will be okay.
