He doesn’t do it the same way he does with other people. The Mach Hommy s*** was just a screenshot of him listening to a song btw
A cosign is still a cosign fam lol.
Even with that, he just hop on a song w Central cee, he touring w kabza de small, all the looks he gave peggy gou. Gave benny a feature when griselda was thriving, all the features he gave to dope uk rappers niggas ignore. The cosign he gave keem early on.
The list really goes on, he doesn't need to do a whole album w each one of them to cosign them
"Shake My" by Three 6 is cool until that Pitbull verse comes on and then it plummets off a cliff
f*** Columbia Records
are there even anymore black owned record labels anymore besides TDE and Rich the Kidds label?
when joe budden called views uninspired and ranted, that sent shockwaves through the culture
when charlamagne called yeezus trash to kanye’s face, niggas couldn’t believe it
i’m not even saying they were right, but hip-hop media has played apart in the genre degrading cause niggas be afraid to have an opinion and niggas also have zero knowledge of music. they only know gossip and chart data.
can you name 5 personalities that actually aren’t afraid to tell their truth, if not the truth? in the era where everybody has a podcast lol
Veeze goes crazy idk what to tell you
veeze is good, he isn’t the savior of hip hop lol
i just wanna see this dude's other battles. the way he wrecked his female opponent
also anyone who can tell me the name of the timbo beat is a mf legend
"You aint hardcore,by the way you ain't Missy" that broke ole girl heart lol. That dude was so focused, listening to every line she was saying so he could drop a comeback
REAL
Yall are losing the topic of thread in favor of choosing Kendrick over Drake lol, s***'s a stan war waiting to happen
niggas were afraid to put out a wack album cause they didn’t wanna get less than four mics in XXL.
when media is afraid to speak for the culture or critique the culture, the culture suffers
Sounds like a skill issue to me
are there even anymore black owned record labels anymore besides TDE and Rich the Kidds label?
dreamville
LVRN
brainfeeder
i’m know i’m missing a ton
It's not because of Drake I can tell you that
I just noticed your avi so I want to reiterate that I f*** with Kendrick and i'm not bashing the album
I'm saying in relation to this thread, meaning Labels not prioritizing rap anymore. Kendrick is not helping at all by dropping niche albums every 5 years
We aren’t blaming Drake but you can’t credit him either. Him dropping two times a year vs one every 4 years isnt helping the overall quality of music bro.
The problem isn’t that rappers aren’t dropping its the music isn’t good.
for all the talks about the mid 2000s with the crunk and fruityloop beats, idk about y'all but i'd prefer listening to those ringtone era songs over the soulless and cookie cutter trap music from this era.
at least the music then was considered fun, and lil jon's beats just hit different.
let me update my status sticks out cause it's a reminder that back then motherfuckas was at least having fun.
It wasn't depressed "killing black kids" like today lol

Budden was right about Views tho

Every 5 years is definitely a stretch. He's done it once and that's cause he had personal s*** going on + COVID. His normal album cycle is 2.5 years or so. Artists aren't machines. They should be allowed to take breaks and live life in between albums without continuously worrying about the state of hip hop

So then who is keeping rap at the forefront, Drake who has dropped 4 albums in the past 3 years or Kendrick who has dropped 1?

the problem is both. some rappers just take too long to drop music and when they do drop, s*** never lives up to the hype. we all saw what happened with roddy
