Sennessaxx or however you spell it 8th try

Shout out Dragonwound Grease, fire + thunder + physical tailsmans (and stamina tailsman as the 4th) and duo Godskin Stitcher Great Rapier with the Quickstep ash of war

Reached the Scadu Atlus after kicking Rellana's butt.
My only slight complaint so far is that I really haven't found a single weapon that really piqued my interest as a predominantly STR build.
But, plenty of ways to go so that'll prob change soon.

Starting Journey 3 (NG++) now but this time I'm gonna play as a female character. Will mostly just focus on speeding my way to the Shadow Realm to replay the DLC and also try to get my hands on some gear that I couldn't get in my previous playthrough (Raging Wolf Set, Black Steel Greathammer).

    Damn I hated that fight.

I still disagree with you on the idea of what the charm actually is. Miquella weilds affection towards him. Making you stop the fight in the final battle =/= manipulating to commit atrocities and blood sacrifices like Mohg did. For two reasons I dislike it. First it takes away from Mohgs actual lore and secondly it simply doesnt make sense that Miquella who always only compells affection towards his person would suddenly make a blood death cult. In fact Ansbach himself said that Mohg tried to become a Lord.

Another theory people lashed on too quickly was that Radahn was manipulated by Miquella because right now people even a***yzed Radahns cape and found out that both of Miquellas signs. The st trina lilly and the haligtree cape can be found as emblems.

So yeah I think he is a brilliant character tbh and I can see him being debated for quite a while in the fandom. Believing in his overly Kindness or seeing him as a manipulative monster. Just like the npcs in sote I think its up for complete debate.

I think the quotes around him are fantastic: "Miquella the Kind...is a monster. Pure and radiant, he wields love to shrive clean the hearts of men. There is nothing more terrifying".

Its interesting how his Great rune says that he even abandoned his "fate". In the first trailer I thought this was faith but to me this literally means he killed himself all for the chance of bringing a compassionate world in a (from software game at that). I think giving him mercy just like his "love" st. trina is the right thing

Oh if you mean manipulating i agree with you. Hes not really a manipulator. I agree with everything you've said actually!

Elden Beast was elevated with torrent as i suspected and hoped. Doesnt make the fight necessarily easier, even so, only slightly, but it surely makes it more fun when you can close distance faster and fighting the final boss with torrent just hits harder, there's some added spectacle that i appreciate a ton

Yep I’m addicted to souls again, time to admit it. I never completed dlc bosses in bb /ds2 /ds3

I want to straight up conquer this game in ng+ levels , no more hiding behind a f***ing shield with these bosses, we tank hits

  • Jul 14, 2024

When my Dragon Cult-Carian Knight character is complete gonna melt s***. Was pvping all yesterday with only 7 spell slots, and 3 talisman slots unlocked. I was wrecking s***

Finally got Consort Radahn after about 75ish tries I imagine. I was close to switching builds but glad I stuck with it

I have to say that second phase is probably well designed but to me it was just straight up RNG. I probably got to the second phase like 30 times or so, and I bet I died within the first 30 seconds after the first AOE blast like 25 times. The other 4 maybe got him to like 30-40% health and then just somehow had a perfect run the one I won. Just happened to only bring out moves I could confidently dodge. You really just have to burst him down with damage because there is no way to survive long in the second phase unless you are a dodge god or cheese build.

I get people’s complaints completely it is very difficult to dig in and learn the second phase so it just feels like bullshit

I’m back in the land of shadows on NG++ now and making my way through Belurat for the second time. It seems I completely missed a part of Belurat on my first playthrough. I found a key to a door located inside a well and it lead to a poison swamp with a mini boss.

These games are so much better when you don’t use a shield imo, GOAT way to play

Parry shields are pretty badass but I personally don’t like hiding behind a medium or a greatshield

BAYLE THE DREAD DEAD 5TH TRY

Advice: use physical tailsman, fire tailsman & lightning tailsman for protection (stamina tailsman is my 4th slot). My weapon was Beast Claws with Dragonwound Grease and using a single Golden Vow buff before I start the fight

And dont lock on if youre not using a ultra greatsword - its one of the rare bosses that work better n easier if fought without lock on (lock on is only his head)

GREAT fight, s*** was amazing I love it. Placidusax is my 3rd fav boss fight after Maliketh & Hoarah with an HM to Radhan, & Dread is my fav so far of the DLC with an HM to Scardutree Avatar in second

    Damn I hated that fight.

I have kits for specific situations and it works wonders

It is a lot more annoying in the DLC than the base game tho

You have the Ancient Meteorite Ore Great Sword? Thats what im using. Im mainly faith and str but also high level to dip into arcane or magic good enough.

Its amazing. It destroys poise really easy and staggers really easy and its L2 weapon skill is so good with closing the gap, being strong, and if you input again it does a small aoe that can catch groups or flying enemies

Its amongst the strongest too in terms of pure damage. Its nuts.

For those that use spirits: Black Knight Captain Huw is a great DLC spirit without being overpowered

I like using spirits for mob zones and some bosses but ignore the overpowered ones, the overly aggressive ones and the really weak ones.

I use Azula Beastmen for mobs and now Black Knight Captain Huw from DLC for multi-bosses and some mini bosses like the DLC bear bosses and the base game Tree Dragon, when I used to use Lhutel the Headless prior to getting Huw.

Out of the spirits ive got so far its dope. While Demi-Human Yosh is too overpowered & Curseblade Meera is too aggressive. And the other two i have so far from DLC, Taylew Golem Smith & Fire Knight Hilde I havent tried out yet.

I love the Ancient Dragon Florissax spirit ashes. You can get them after making the dragon communiun priestess sleep with Tholliers poison and then defeating Bale.

It has cool lore and the spirit summon even has voice acting. She is also pretty usefum and uses that weapon that boosts lightning damahe
