And Em, what's the doo-rag for?
You never gon' have waves, you'll never know black pain
Potent ether
if you provided credible, peer-reviewed, scientific proof, then i'd have to believe that it was at least possible
I would say it's most a case by case psychological thing... like if eminem was on d**** and put on that "accent" as you call it its really nothing different than what many people who code switch do in a sense....
Have you seen eminem's crew back then to what it is now? It was also a completely different landscape.
how does being on d**** make you have an accent lmao
20 years definitely changes you dude
this is him 10 years after that 1999 interview, i honestly think he just started to take himself more seriously
he's still got an accent... it's just that HE has matured, stopped using d**** and started composing himself better
his voice has also gotten much deeper as well
im not even an Eminem fan honestly, and i like that you have mentioned El-P because Fantastic Damage is a f***ing good album and El-P is a legend
but i do think Eminem had a lot of influence around him, it's not really about him putting on an accent but more so about how much he was overly embracing hip hop culture back then
OP is an idiot. He damaged his vocal chords over time with d*** use and touring. Hence the reason his voice changed not only in talking, but also in his rapping over time.
His voice is more hoarse and shrill now, he talks slower as well.
That’s why he originally started with the accents, he was trying to hide the change in his voice. Then, with Recovery he tried yelling to cover it up. In MMLP2 especially you can hear how hoarse it is.
Since he doesn’t tour anymore, it’s gotten considerably better over the past few years, though. Compared to 2013, Eminem’s voice is a lot more suitable.
It’s also a big part of what’s different with his music now, one of his biggest strengths coming up was vocal presence and being able to change his voice when needed, he can’t do it now.
Nigga you got what I meant stop talking out ya neck before I fly out to Missouri and pistol whip you
Bro doesn't even kind of speak the same in both of these videos lmao how did this man get away with this.
this man doesnt speak the same way 21 years later how did he get away with this
Same way Drake gets away with it
Eminem: white guy from Detroit thats been living around black people his entire life. KTT: lmao this guy is a fraud look at him lmao
Drake: white jewish guy from Canada that was on degrassi and one minute is black, the next he's jamaican, the next he's white. KTT: Our GOAT god bless Aubrey he's so real #MobBoss
The Em hate on this forum has always been cringe tbh
it's not even hate it's an observation em is a legend
ok, but how do you literally lose an accent when you live in the same place your whole life lol
edit: never said he was mocking either
uhh he stopped hanging out with a lot of his friends. moved to a different part of Michigan. Grew up, probably reads more.
