metYes, various people I have observed online and spoke to want the war ended but want to continue having military defense in place after a deal strikes through because Russia is unpredictable. Poland, for instance, has one. How is that controversial?

AfD still won. They are about to have over 10% more than 4 years ago. It’s not about “winning” the elections. They knew CDU is going to win this time and if CDU is going to fail (they probably will), AfD will take the lead in 4 years.
This is very bad for Germany imo and most people don’t understand what it means that they have over 20% now

Back on topic the optimist in me thinks Elon might truly face repercussions in the coming years (10 year scale, not shorter) in terms of all of his political interference.
The EU could outright call for his arrest and he would essentially be banned from the EU. I would say the West in totality but he and Trump’s long lasting effects on the ties between US and EU are yet to be seen. If the US can course correct and be in step with the EU on Elon’s actions I could see him needing to flee to Russia
