Never been a big fantasy guy but holy s*** he’s good

I tried to read The Sound and the Fury too young, felt stupid, and never read anything of his again

you're not alone. it took me a couple of tries to get into Faulkner before it finally clicked. his books have a very unique story structure that basically makes reading them notably confusing until you hit a point where everything starts tying together.

if you ever wanna try again, I'd def recommend picking up As I Lay Dying (his most accessible and my personal fav). he's an author that you really need to read slowly in order to not miss any hidden meaning.

I’m only bout 40 pages in but it’s real af.. I’m finding it to be a little heavy-handed at times, but I’m enjoying it so far

Old classics tend to get a lil heavy handed sometimes lol

I mean to say that the dialogue kinda hits you over the head at times, you know
