Dope project. I don't know why some people dislike it.

It's obviously not a classic like the first one, but nobody expected it to be. The only flat out bad song on the album is "Jarreau of Rap". Everything else is either good to great, in my opinion anyways.

It's wayyyy better than NASIR and you rated that one a 8.5, so i'm gonna be curious where you rate this one.

It’s alright. Got a few duds but I don’t think it’s that bad. It’s nowhere, and I mean emphasis on nowhere near as good as the first one.

Lost Tapes 2 is… good. It’s not amazing or bad or even really mediocre it’s just a good compilation of old songs

There’s some highlights, not too many lowlights but a fair bit of it seems to fly by me, good raps and chill beats but I can see why all of these were cut from albums

The only song I actively disliked was Jarreau of Rap, i didn’t like it back then and not now either, don’t like that it ends with a minute of just the beat

Solid comp but it doesn’t live up to the first and I think it’s for more of the lifelong fans

Best songs: No Bad Energy, Vernon Family, Lost Freestyle, QueensBridge Politics, Beautiful Life

Worst song: Jarreau Of Rap

It’s crazy that a sequel to one of Nas’s best projects is so…forgotten about. Like nobody cares about this project compared to KD, KD2 & Magic.

Even Nasir has the Ye co-sign atleast.

Kings Disease is something special lemme tell you, I always liked it but going back to it for this series I must’ve played it 4 times in a row, in my eyes this album is perfect

Everything about this album comes together great and a lot of that is also due to Hit-Boy’s beats, so many great sounds and everything feels modern but fresh, not out of touch or dated

Features did great this time around too, I noticed a lot of Nas albums don’t have great standout features most of the time but everyone pulled their part here and Nas let a lot of rappers on this time around, even a Firm reunion its no Affirmative Action but it’s still a great song

Album simultaneously feels like a celebration of Nas while also being the next chapter it really is great I tried to find something holding it back but there isn’t a single thing I don’t like that pulls
me back

i wouldn’t call Kings Disease a classic album but in my eyes it’s still a perfect 10
