Kings Disease is something special lemme tell you, I always liked it but going back to it for this series I must’ve played it 4 times in a row, in my eyes this album is perfect

Everything about this album comes together great and a lot of that is also due to Hit-Boy’s beats, so many great sounds and everything feels modern but fresh, not out of touch or dated

Features did great this time around too, I noticed a lot of Nas albums don’t have great standout features most of the time but everyone pulled their part here and Nas let a lot of rappers on this time around, even a Firm reunion its no Affirmative Action but it’s still a great song

Album simultaneously feels like a celebration of Nas while also being the next chapter it really is great I tried to find something holding it back but there isn’t a single thing I don’t like that pulls
    me back

    10/10

Favourite Songs: Car #85, Ultra Black, 27 Summers, Replace Me, Till The War Is Won All Bad, The Definition, Full Circle, The Cure, Spicy

    Least favourite: N/A

    Wow, that's what's up

King's Disease is an amazing album

    OOOOOOOWEEEEE Charlie Wilson voice

I'd give it a 9 tbh bc of some features I don't like and only 1 Nas verse on some songs where I needed more presence from him

But there's no song that's wack on it

I wouldn’t give it a 10 but I will say that it’s my favourite from the hitboy collaborations so far

Not missing anything, they suck ass even without r kelly being a pos

Dude shoulda did a Neptunes collab album instead

To me Nas is the greatest hip hop artist ever and sure that's an unpopular opinion among general Internet music fans and publications, but a lot of good rappers and producers as well as oldheads think so as well

It's a shame there wasn't a full Jay-Z X DJ Premier collab album in the late 90's as well

not peer pressure i think i just jumped the gun and scored some albums in context of the other albums before them and first impression hype

doing it after everything will make it look more clear to me

Yeah that woulda been sick, So Ghetto is definitely a top 10’Jay song imo but Jay also has a strength in meshing producers sounds well

That was a flaw for me in 4:44 even though I loved it

only bad thing about the Jay series is that Vol 2 isn’t explicit on streaming

thankfully Donda has prepared me for this

Vol. 1 is one of the most confusing albums I've ever heard

Not many albums where there's such a huge gap between incredible songs and bad songs

The way it keeps jumping from highs to lows

You didn't like Foxy's verse? I loved her verse bro, lol

She snapped on that song, in my opinion.
