Anki is great too! I think lingodeer gives you an easy friendly introduction to basic words and phrases, so I would start using that
I never paid for any extra stuff so I don't think you would need to but it's up to your discretion

For grammar look at some courses online for the language you try to learn, I dont think apps are good at that

Using LingoDeer & I fsho like the friendly interface but won't lie kinda feel like I'm guessing what letter matches a character rather than actually knowing fully what's what ๐

Yes free is enough, anki helps me more though
