Splash Waterfalls as the ending credits to that finale was a nice touch A few duds, but also some very good episodes. Episodes 1 and 9 were my favorites
Whoever was in here saying they wanted this season to be more like Abbott Elementary had me confused as hell while I watched that show Completely different tone and it doesn't have any social commentary except schools being underfunded
u gotta be in paris and have existential crises dating yt ppl to fully understand it 🤷🏾♂️

Yea a lot of takes itt this season were wild af
People were wanting this to be a straight forward feel good comedy, but Atlanta has never been that. Like yea its funny af, but niggas were getting shot by police all the way back in season 1.
There was a murder suicide in season 2.
The tone is unlike any other comedy on tv, and its been that way since the beginning

Yea im not surprised at all that T loved the finale. The aesthetic is right up his alley

“ I’m like, "Can I just turn on Ozark?" It's like, "No, you got to start at episode one and work your way through all 20 seasons." There's something nice about American Dad where you can just hop into any episode and it's fun. And that was the idea with this season. Season two is more connective, and in order for the ending to make sense, you need to see the beginning. We were like this time let's just have this thing where every episode feels like anybody can come into it.”
And this is exactly why this season wasn’t as good as the other ones
Thats random af and Atlanta isn't even that long of a show
Overall tho what a bizarre season. Maybe hopefully when they go back to Atlanta next season s*** will start making sense again and we can get some sort of continuity
Three slaps still def gmfu the most out of the whole season after finding out it was based on a real event.
Weekly releases between story spin offs and the main cast plot def had me trying to follow along. Felt like it was a good watch this season. Hopefully they tie in an overarching plot for S4.

It should try to just be funny
It was actually Ryan gosling but his schedule was to busy
if they had actually gotten him and Steve Harvey for rich wigga szn wouldve been 11/10
nah he has a point, the format of tv now is based on being able to binge entire seasons
i think it’s the opposite of pretentious to want to have a wider audience. s1 and 2 are amazing and still essential for understand the finer details of s3,
but it was fun to be able to tel my friends, hey let’s watch the new episode of atlanta, without all of them having watched it
the first episode was sick to watch stand-alone and even the main character episodes work standalone imo (new jazz being one of the exceptions)
the show has always worked that way though. I know many people irl whose first episode of the show was Barbershop or Teddy Perkins and they loved it. Even in seasons 1 and 2, you never needed to know what happened in previous episodes as the show’s structure allowed each one to stand on its own. this didn’t start with season 3, they just went OD with it this time around
I’m sorry but deciding on the third f***ing season they wanted to make it so ppl can pick up and watch any episode without following one narrative is so stupid
Last episode was trash lol but the season was good I only thought ep 4 and the ending to be lackluster

I'm not buying this because S1 and S2 already had this. You can skip most episodes of S1, the only plot you need to get is Earn becomes Paperboi's manager and then there's the reveal that he lives in a storage container at the end of S1
S2 has the overarching plot of Earn almost losing his job as manager. Van dumping Earn and Earn getting the money from Darius are also things you maybe need to watch other episodes to really get. But you can hop into or just skip most of the episodes without it affecting your understanding of the plot at all, in both seasons

Too busy for 2 scenes?
Too busy for 2 scenes?
Maybe he had to quarantine 1st in Europe since they filmed this in Covid times, didn't want to go through all that to film 2 scenes and then go back to the US/Canada with his family with that on his head
