That’s what happens when you work in a city tho and if your friends are making what people would assume they should in tech they don’t have much room to complain because they have a lot more to work with than someone who’s lower income. I live in a major city too and the rent is affordable as s***, and if I was making tech money it’d be nothing. But if I couldn’t afford it I’d relocate to a situation better for me.

i live in the raleigh area and it’s growing rapidly here skyrocketing rent and the housing market. Every mid level city is now growing into a metro priced area due to the people in the cities you listed, moving here
