lol he had a respectable run but there was no "big 3" in that era like there is now, and if there was, ja wasn't in it.
like Nelly, Luda, and Outkast were just as big or bigger than ja was was when he peaked.
I just want to big dude up while he still here, even if it means putting extra sauce on it

I tell people bro shoot for the stars aim for the moon is the new age massacre
It's funny you mentioned that album because, in my hometown, I hear Pop Smoke blaring out of a lot of people's cars.
I was just hearing "Something Special" blasting out of someone's car like 15 minutes ago.

He was young 50 man smh
Candy Shop lowkey killed his career
It was a huge song but yeah nobody looked at 50 the same way again
Nah Candy Shop ain’t kill his career. Y’all forgetting GRODT movie soundtrack dropped and that had hits as well. I think people started getting sick of 50 around Curtis

People started getting sick of 50 when everything turned southern
I feel like most of the modern Ja hate comes from dumb ass kids who don’t understand that this nigga was doing Drake numbers.

!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dkgGf_MjCqkI heard 50 used to pull up to them video shoots on a motorcycle with a gun on his lap just to troll this nigga smh lmao
yeah he was big but Nelly dropped a diamond album and followed up with 5mil+ on the sophomore album in that same time frame lol. Ja Rule was a commercial success for sure but not top 3, and like i said in my last post there wasn't a big 3 in that era. There was room for a lot of big acts before the record industry crashed

Ja Rule was about as successful as Ludacris, though Luda's run is more impressive because he was able to sell without relying heavily on R&B hooks.
Ja wasn't really stanned like that either and that had nothing to do with 50 either. I remember Ja's hits getting played as a kid, especially when women were around but I never heard of people unironically stanning Ja Rule.
That's also lowkey why it was so easy for 50 to take him down too when he blew up.
here to agree with op. everyone wil act fake sad if he goes (touch wood) because they know he had iconic hits on hits
Thread: Give Ja Rule His Flowers
Niggas that like arguing: No
lmao
me:
Notorious hater of all things @Tubig strikes again.
man got hungry for success that he ended up just commercializing and dumbing down the most marketable aspects of X & Pacs style for a TRL audience. he clearly got lost in the success and the d**** at the time. with that said I still feel like he made some quality music and had an ear for structing hit songs for the time.
