    Had the time of my life tonight. I got my big lizard x big Monkee vs big ice dragon & big Monkee and it was glorious. These fights in IMAX

    Story was fine, humans were okay. More of a Kong movie but that’s fine we just got Minus One.

    Crowd was into it too

    The story was very slapdash but I had a good time. They are this close to eliminating humans from these movies all together. My only real complaint is Godzilla being sidelined despite getting top billing in the title. I need the third entry in the Godzilla trilogy.

    I’m probably in the minority, but King of the Monsters is far and away the best movie in this universe.

    Nah it is the best entry for sure.

    I enjoy all these MV movies but KOTM still got the best villain in Ghidorah

    So worse than part 3. I'm out. If it couldn't do a good balance like pacific rim or kotm, then no reason to watch beside YouTube action clips

    On the same level generally

    Human stuff was less annoying than GvK but the fights in GvK were better

    For context, King of the Monsters made $47m in its opening weekend, GvK made $48m in its 5 day opening weekend

    I got to say though, Shimo has been the biggest disappointment of the Monsterverse so far

    Imagine if we could get the scale and seriousness of G14, the music and kaiju villain level of KOTM, the fight choreography of GvK, and the monster screen time of GxK

    That would be my dream come true for the Monsterverse

    Although this is the weakest in the MV, still had a lot of fun and gonna see it a second time

    I’m fine with the direction of the MV because Toho has put out Shin Gojira and Gojira Minus One in this same era

    So there’s a nice balance

    Have you see how campy late Showa era zilla got? I’d argue this dumb camp style is sort of integral to Godzilla. Not saying all Godzilla movies should be like this, but this certainly isnt anything new.
