Don’t listen to first post. Get a credit card. Use it like a debit card and jt will help your credit score.

My first credit card was the Amazon prime one. They gave me like 200$ to use on prime day when I got accepted. You get 5% off everything on Amazon and Whole Foods, and 3-1% off everything else.

Got a 3k limit for my first card

    Agreed.

Amazon prime card, capital one secured card(secured card means you pay upfront for the balance they give you. Example:you pay capital one $500 to open up a $600 credit line)

But op whatever you do, do not get a credit card UNLESS you’re bringing in decent money. If you aren’t making at least $35,000 a year after taxes, don’t do it

    Disagree

Get one no matter how much you make. Only spend what you can afford.

Stay away from Discover, Try and open one up with the same bank that you have a checking account with. Use it too buy everyday things you would just as if you were to pay cash or use ur debt for it. Pay it off monthly, then branch off onto other cards.

Paying back money is a b**** fam, even if you spend what you can afford. If you’re not using your credit for a reliable brand new car or to get a new place(apartment) I don’t advise it

But I do agree in the aspect of using it like a debit card to build your credit because you’re gonna need it at some point but it’s easy to f*** up your credit in the beginning if you aren’t used to it

Yeah because that’s how everyone thinks right? If only we were so logical the country wouldn’t be in debt

Yeah don’t use it like crazy and thinking you can spend your limit every month.

Make sure to pay in full every month. Never do partial payments
