Intermittent Fasting at a slight caloric deficit and moderate cardio everyday for 3 months and you'll lose 15-20 pounds.

    Intermittent fasting

when you have a sizable meal, drink lots of water with it, and it will give u a feeling of fullness

    Go on walks every day

Workouts are all dependent on your environment

Also try not to do any of your relaxation sessions on your bed. It will give you a sense of sluggishness that's hard to shake off

Basically you have a period of time where you fast and a period of time where you’re allowed to eat.

Fore example most people do the 16:8 method of IF. Meaning you fast for 16 years and have an 8 hour window where you can eat

man fasting for 4/5th of my life

  • Jan 17, 2021

Fast, cardio (doesn’t have to be heavy cardio), and as someone said before count your calories. As unhealthy as it sounds what works for me is eating one good meal a day and I don’t usually have my meal until after 3PM everyday

    Also drink lots of water

    Just peeped the typo

And yeah you could do that but just make sure with that one meal you hit all your calories and macros.

The first day or two is hard but after that it becomes routine

It’s literally just cutting out a meal so you have less of a window to eat. For example you might only eat between 12pm and 6.30pm so you skip breakfast. You’re almost guaranteed to be in a calorie deficit doing this and it might help you control your appetite/portions going forward.

If it works for you it’s great but it’s not some silver bullet. There are plenty of other ways to get into a calorie deficit

Use a calorie calculator online, work out your ideal amount of daily calories for losing weight for your body proportions, then just loosely track your food intake with a food diary app.

Eat less, cut out excess sugar and processed foods and move more and you’ll be fine

This guy is one of the most prominent PTs in the world and a best-selling author who backs up what I’m saying

I’m not saying IF doesn’t have any benefits but at the end of the day you’re just giving yourself less time to eat which hastens weight loss. That’s the crux of it. Any other purported benefits are anecdotal.

If IF helps you control your food intake and you feel good doing it then I’m all for it.

Would be interested in listening to other scientifically proven benefits of IF if you have them though, I’m always open to learning

Edit - should clarify I’m specifically talking about weight loss benefits here not overall health benefits. Was just pointing out that it’s not some magic fat burner, you’re just eating less. I’m sure it helps other health areas

Ok appreciate the openness sorry for being so aggressive. I am just annoyed at people nowadays acting like they know about this without any sources. about IF there is also the aspect of meal timing. So short form when you eat something also has an effect

Thanks for that report, very interesting and informative! How long have you been a nutritionist? Sounds like a fun career.

And so I don't derail the thread, how would you recommend OP loses his covid weight?
