DAMN was the first Kendrick album that I liked instantly. Every one before that had to click.
For me it was TPAB tbh

Ironically that was GKMC for me. It just sounded nothing like S80 & I had to adjust
This album is the reason I found ktt. They had the leak weeks beforehand. Piece of history.
i aint mad at anyone who says this the best rap album of the 2010s. i still cant believe he ended up releasing multiple classics after this

Facts. I literally discovered Kendrick in the 1st place through stumbling upon Westside Right On Time.
And I was initially upset that it didn't make the cut even though I still loved the album.
Nowadays, people throw around the word "classic" to any album that they like.
GKMC is the epitome of what a true classic album is.
genuinely perfect album, aged gracefully
masterpiece doesn't begin to describe it

This album brings back a lot of memories for me. I was in senior year in high school and me and my homies were huge TDE stans. I would be the internet forum nerd of the group and would always put my homies onto new leaks and s*** and we would all gather around at lunch and listen to new TDE / ASAP / Pro Era songs. Good f***ing times.
I still remember the moment GKMC leaked. We already listened to the snippets but we were smoking some weed at the park in my homies car when I see the KTT thread get updated saying the album leaked. Y'all have no idea how fast each one of us rushed home to go download the leak and listen to this s***.
What a magical f***ing moment. I think I almost cried when I heard BDKMV for the first time. What a true classic. I miss these times.
Classic
Can’t believe he dropped an even better album with TPAB
Honestly, that album has no option but to be better than all his outputs
Nigga had like 20 legends work on that album
S*** was like All of the Lights but as an album

It's all I can hear, and the way Dot stands out in the midst of nostalgia makes it one of the greatest albums to be made
GKMC a classic, but TPAB truly different
Where y’all rank it in his discography? Ima get killed for my take though it is still a classic
