Had been revisiting Kendrick discog the past few weeks and I believe GKMC is his best work
Execution was perfect man. Every moment added to the experience. Never seen a rapper progress like Dot. To go from OD to GKMC within the span of like 2 years is crazy. Had no idea this album would be this well put together. I was a big fan of S80 too. Still contains some of his best tracks
Instant classic, s*** was amazing. The impact was unmatched. As far as this generation goes, I don’t think any other project hit the streets like this album. I know other albums were poppin but this had people excited to talk about the music. Literally knew like 4-5 people with the physical copy. People talked to me about their parents enjoying it as well
Very special album
S*** went wild in high school and s*** still goes today
Shout out HS 2014 a very lucky 4 year period of nonstop quality & excitement
Went to the inital GKMC concert too and its was packed and super dope
Got into a squad fight during MAAD City having niggas going crazy including me elbowing niggas (ok the fight was beacause of me) and some drunk girl almost died falling over a rail from the 2nd story at some point but some dude caught her by her shoulders
Good times
One of the last albums imo that felt like a real “moment” when it dropped. Maybe it was just me because I was anticipating this s*** so heavy
Tpab was a moment bro

Section 80 and the viral ass Look out For Detox loosie was a crazy run up - within barely a year apart an underground classic and a genre defining project - plus all the freestyle vidoed he was doing like calling out Lil Wayne, Kanye, Jay etc. I wonder if them niggas ever talked about it
Miss the old TDE random life vids, loosies & freestyles
I got
OD
MMBS
TPAB
GKMC
DAMN
S80
UU
I don't count OD, although it's a high favorite of mine
But I definitely understand your list
Greatest Rapper of all time didnt even need an RIP
Platnium Platnium Platnium how yall let a nigga go commerical just off of concious albums

Three niggas one concert first time I was tossed
It's all I can hear, and the way Dot stands out in the midst of nostalgia makes it one of the greatest albums to be made
GKMC a classic, but TPAB truly different
I agree 100 percent even though I listen to GKMC more, TPAB is on a different level once it truly connects.
album hits home for me for so many reasons but the crazy part is this not even my favorite kendrick album. that just goes to show how good his discography is
Ironically that was GKMC for me. It just sounded nothing like S80 & I had to adjust
To I really told my guy SB that Section 80 was just ok. Boy I was dumb as hell lol
Once it clicked what he was doing, I was a fan. I think I was upset that it didn’t sound like the KLEP
Classic
Can’t believe he dropped an even better album with TPAB
Yea that’s what makes it even more insane. He leveled up in every way.
Where y’all rank it in his discography? Ima get killed for my take though it is still a classic
1. To Pimp a Butterfly
2. GKMC
3. Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
4. Section 80
5. DAMN.
That's my order.
Tpab was a moment bro
That’s one of them too lol I don’t think these albums that drop now have that same feel unless it’s from the big three
I remember finding Kendrick when of came out because of ktt1 and mu
This album made me believe rap could really change the world
Swimming pools being at every party back then and on the radio was such an insane thing to witness
Arguably the greatest concept album ever conceived within the genre of Hip-Hop.
No cap.
Even outside of rap it has such a stand against most of the others. I don't think it beats animals though as an example

They had a run for sure content wise all the vlogs they used to do not hurt to mention through talk of their album cycles they all featured on each other s*** so it was just more promo.
I remember actually downloading a zip file of the leaked snippets lol
The best album to come out of the big 3
Except TPAB
Real for this. TPAB is the magnum opus out of the big three
One of the last albums imo that felt like a real “moment” when it dropped. Maybe it was just me because I was anticipating this s*** so heavy
When people talk about utopia or pink tape I can't help but compare the "moment" talk with this.
It sucks we haven't had something so monumental and game changing since besides a few others
