Lol no need to type all that and still be wrong af

Well you can disagree. That’s fine, I’m not here to convince you any differently, I was just clarifying my opinion. I would’ve liked to have heard why I’m wrong instead of being written off like there’s no valid argument to be had, but another day perhaps.

Oh no,im not saying anyone was holding MJs hand and telling him what to do,this is MJ,of course he was calling the shots. Im saying producers, just like you explained with Dre,not cooperating with him business wise or the Neptunes sending him sounds he's already done.(and his management not even cooperating with Pharrell & Chad, cause im pretty sure they would've done whatever MJ wanted) He just got stuck in a rut because of industry politics.

I still say that,if he was directly signed to Interscope, whatever he had going with Dre would've been worked but who knows.

Michael asking for all of Dre’s publishing (like Dre wasn’t Dre) is insane. Dre wasn’t (and shouldn’t have) agreed to that. He wouldn’t have whether Michael was on interscope or not lol

That is kinda wild lol, cause at that point,MJ Ă— Dre and vice versa was pretty valuable, they both added value to one another. MJ asking for all the publishing probably made Dre feel disrespected,MJ made it seem like Dre needs him. I feel like Ye would've turned over his publishing tho lol, just to work with MJ

    WESLEY THE GREAT

That definitely is a unique example. Probably the heaviest song in his discography sound wise and the only time he really made a song like that. But him delving into a harder rockier sounds was something he wasn’t a stranger to. From Beat It, to Dirty Diana to Black Or White to Give In To Me etc.

He had flirted with that sound before. He just hadn’t gone completely balls deep with it.

So in other words he pushed himself further in a sound he previously only dabbled in, aka evolving

“Dabbled in” is putting it too lightly. Those are rock songs I listed, just not as heavy as Morphine which borders on metal. Regardless, A one off song on the Blood On The Dancefloor remix album is not a rebuttal to my original argument which was that neither HIStory or Invincible had a creative evolution compared to Off The Wall to Dangerous. There was no big 180 overall compared to the first 4.

MJ was hated/made fun of about as much as Kanye is these days, maybe more. Dude was literally made fun of by all comedians/funny movies at the time. When he died everybody switched up to "we love Michael". I remember

MJ to this day is still probably the biggest celebrity death I’ve ever seen. The rest of 2009 felt like it was dedicated to how much people actually loved him all that time.

Its wack that people made a clown show of him but i think that shows his status of fame more then anything. He wasn't human to most,he was Michael Jackson.

He hit a new sound for himself on many History & BOTDF tracks when he implemented more industrial influence and pure classical influence in his music . I do agree history isn’t as good as his previous works but regardless of quality he definitely explored beyond Dangerous
