Why do that when you can just fund your police force to arrest and drive off them instead tho

I agree that there's no reason for them to be arrested if they don't pose a threat. I am 100% on board with you on that.

    "NIMBY attitude"

Maybe in NYC it's different, but homeless d*** addicts have ruined the city I live near to the point local businesses are moving and it's killing our biggest industry (tourism). Our local economy is going to tank because of this stuff and the fact that our government refuses to address the situation in a correct manner.

Sounds a failure at the government for not giving those homeless d*** addicts a place to stay

The police force is weak here, underfunded, and our DA doesn't prosecute on the majority of crimes. There are shelters and also resources available.

Many of the homeless utterly refuse to get help and/or don't think they need it because they self-medicate with d**** to "feel better".

They'll commit a petty crime, get caught, get placed in holding for 24 hours, let out, and then rinse-repeat.

The biggest issue (like I said on the page before) is mental health not being addressed. Our society is mentally sick like never before, there are little to no free resources available. In order to go to a "detox" clinic or d*** rehab you have to pay out of pocket (usually). Meaning most homeless people suffering from d*** addiction (which is the majority) can't even have the opportunity for this.

I'm not exactly hiding bro. And I haven't done anything worthy of a ban

you just somehow deriving your own meanings from very clear posts that leave little to interpretation

Not really cuz I’m def not the first person to accuse you of being a bigot/dumbass on this forum

    ktt2.com/these-guys-are-literal-demons-32547930/3

even users in here noticed it, and on your old account

But besides that. It’s really the fact that your entire tone tries so hard to be “Idgaf and I’m just chill, anyone can do whatever” vibes

to sound smart but then you frequently say s*** that shows how out of touch you are with anyone non-straight and not white.

Maybe… think harder before typing, or interact with groups outside ur friend group

Cuz talking to any black person, literally any for like 5 minutes about policing and you would never said that dumbass s***

if it wasn’t malicious my b, but yeah extremely tone deaf comment nonetheless

  • Just a friendly reminder that Reagan is basically the cause of all this - "The Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981, signed by President Ronald Reagan on August 13, 1981, repealed most of the Mental Health Systems Act."

Cops do not make people feel safer, this is a white-centric pov, I’m sorry.

I’m not saying they don’t in certain circumstances, but making that blanket statement when minorities in overpoliced areas or just walking into any stores in bad parts of town and see security.

That s*** does not make black people feel safer.

You do understand that’s an extremely privileged feeling to have.

Its security theater given the amount of cars on a given train but yeah a cop being present makes people feel safer

Its security theater given the amount of cars on a given train but yeah a cop being present makes people feel safer

it’s all perspective that’s the whole point.

Yes we’ve heard police are supposed to serve and protect since we’re young, and most people carry that into adulthood

If you’ve never had a negative experience with cops then you wouldn’t see contray

Those statements are dumb because they ignore the tons of Americans that don’t feel safe by cops and ultimately those voices advocating for more policing are those that don’t end up being the ones policed the most.

Again, very sheltered and blanket statement to make. Not sure what’s hard to understand that other groups of people outside white peopel don’t feel safe

And yes black people aren’t a monolith. But just straight up asking BP do “more police make you safe” and you will get an answer alot longer than just “yes” if they say yes in the first place

So whenever you have (mainly) suburbia white people speak on these issues and want to say “hey just more cops”

You may not see how harmful that rhetoric is, but it actively puts in danger other communities where people don’t feel safe, and are less likely to have a platform to speak out on. Less likely to have a seat at the e table to even protest policing in their neighborhoods to begin with

Cops don’t solve s***. Stop pouring money into stuff without addressing literally anything else

That's murder, straight up. That man didn't deserve that.

The homeless situation in NYC is a mess. The shelters sound like total s***holes and those that are mentally ill are basically ignored and left to rot on the streets.

    Beyond f***ed up

We have to realize that a lot of homeless people say things not because they mean them literally, but because they learn the power the words have. Homeless people learn to say things like "I'll f*** you up", not because that's what they're going to do, but because they learn that that gets people to leave them alone.

Asking for more policing? F*** em cuz it’s views like his that end up with more black people in the video being killed either by police or police wannabes

  • “He started screaming in an aggressive manner,” Vazquez told The Post. “He said he had no food, he had no drink, that he was tired and doesn’t care if he goes to jail. He started screaming all these things, took off his jacket, a black jacket that he had, and threw it on the ground.”

Not gonna lie this sounds like the speech before a shooting or stabbing. Probably the chokehold shouldnt had been lethal but God dammn I do be s***ting bricks bruh.

I mean, that's not the case here, he came om the train looking to cause trouble

Its an unfortunate result where there was a passenger who felt this meant he should use deadly force.

    Neither following societal rules

They also yell things like that completely unprovoked on a train filled with people just trying to get to work. There is a reason everyone's on edge around the homeless especially on subways. A lot of them are f***ing crazy but the city barely lifts a finger to help them.

@Resurrection talk like he the only nigga that lives here.

Ive seen homeless people punching windows with so much force on the late night E train it had people standing up out of shookness. Been on the (safe side) of a cab where people ended up running over to my side cause a homeles dude whipped his d*** out and started pissing.

Hell I got chased by a drunk vagrant once due to miscommunication for like 3 blocks until I made it to Lorimer L stop.

Kno what the common theme is?

Nobody in either of them scenarios had to die, or get choked out for FIFTEEN minutes.

They’re mentally ILL. Dont think you know what that means clearly.

This the same mentality that had dumbasses that dont live here think it was ok for cops to kill that homeless person on Montgomery and Utica Ave for basically pointing a broken pipe at random people (“LiKe It iS a GuN”) whereas everyone in that community that knew him around the area was outraged.

This NIMBY attitude is hilarious. And NLC leaving out that they was cops on that platform where shawty got pushed on to the tracks is typical NIMBY behavior.

Alright but you can agree that not everyone is just gonna mack while someone is punching windows and yelling right?

Not everyone is gonna run for 3 blocks while being chased. At some point people will start going vigilante mode unless we have the proper authorities in place to handle s***

Subway crime is down 22% from the same time last year thanks to increased police presence and ticketing

    dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11833877/NYC-subway-crime-plunges-21-5-Mayor-Eric-Adams-ordered-rise-ticketing.html

It definitely works. This is just with an extra 1000 cops on the subway. They have the staff to put much more.
