Currently watching John Carpenter’s The Fog
How does it hold up to his others?
In The Mouth Of Madness & The Thing are great
They Live was good as well
Heard some good things about Prince Of Darkness, that one is next up on my list
Wanted to see The Fog for ages too but it sounded too similar to The Mist which is one of my fav movies of all time

It’s pretty different than The Mist. I think it’s a solid Carpenter flick. Not as good as The Thing, They Live, and of course Halloween. It’s very enjoyable. The score and sound design are phenomenal. He focuses a lot on suspense and story in The Fog. Some great characters and brings in some of the cast from Halloween as well as some other faces you will recognize from other 80’s classics.

Conversely to what he thinks I thought The Fog was really really boring. Halloween is my favorite horror movie of all time and it felt so amateur compared to the masterpiece that is Halloween
Scream 5 filming soon?
Courtney Cox posted a picture of ghost face saying "can't wait to see this face again"
Checking out The Rental now.
Dan Stevens aging like fine wine
was that good? i wanna see it
So there this girl at my work who I’m catching feelings for super hard
And she’s into horror movies HEAVY
What movies should I watch / ask her about to impress her and s***? 👀
slaughtered vomit dolls
was that good? i wanna see it
Was like this generations Vacancy, The Strangers etc. Reminded me of those type of movies a bit and the older 2000's horror. It wasn't bad
Rewatching A Quiet Place.
I don't get the random hate for this movie. For the time it came out, it was very unique and entertaining over most of what was being released in horror.
I am pretty upset at how close we were to getting the second one...COVID couldn't have happened a couple weeks later.
which series would be better to binge during october: friday the 13th or halloween?

Hard choice I definitely find more enjoyment in rewatching F13 as a whole altho Halloween is my favourite in terms of universe and mood with the original being one of the best horror movies ever. With that being said, movies like Halloween 5,H20 and Resurrection make me dread the binge lmao.

any recs on well shot films that have a forest vibe and may also have a sense of desperation/despair? working on a photo series and trying to pull inspo from somewhere. i can think of the obvious choices but throw those in anyways if you could
