    Mero has always been corny to me and I never seen him have an interesting take on music.

    Does he have a music background?

    Did they announce the co-hosts?

    ngl thought they'd go younger lol. pretty much cut from the same cloth. good for NY tho. i was never a fan of bodega boys or w/e it was called. that podcast was way too Tri-State area centric for my taste. Mero is NY NY so it fits.

    if u not from nyc and from a certain era it was never gonna land

    they hit they prime when millennials kinda can americns digital culture, now that he’s 40 it seems a bit silly but makes sense for radio

    i don’t see how a 24 year old could carry a radio show where most of the demo is working class early 30s to mid 50 year olds

    ppl in they 20s gonna just rock out with spotify

    shoutout to desus for letting the best comedy duo this century fall apart over a draftkings ad, only to take a deal for a draftkings podcast later on anyway and doing literally nothing else with his career since

    there’s so much behind the scenes we don’t know ab i doubt it was a draft kings ad

    when it worked it worked, when it didn’t, it was easy to let go bc they had diff goals and were diff ppl tbh

    i doubt it was hard to split ways by the end of it

    he knows his place and i’m sure there’s a personal win for him

    he always talked about doing s*** for his family so i’m just happy bro got a gig that will stamp his name in the books

    you could kinda tell desus wasn't into it anymore by like mid/late 2020 so i think it was one of the deciding factors that showed how different their commitment to it was. i think they also just stopped liking each other as people and being forced to do showtime & the pod eroded the remaining goodwill they had toward each other. such a shame cus they're so much funnier together it's crazy

    The only 20 somethings that got hired and carried shows really were just Clue, Enuff, Cipha Sounds, Miss Jones, Angie and Flex.

    That second crop was stuck waiting for their chance in the 2010's, but it never came. Now most of them don't do anything music related except for Scottie Beam.

    yea i know ab the draft kings story and it def played a part
