one of the most common, pedestrian takes regarding the album is your hottest take?
y’all ruthless
I actually think it's a pretty fun album tbh
This is literally just an average post from 2015 KTT
Literally the average opinion of a Ktt user on TPAB in 2022
Bro thought he was being brave and s***

If an album isnt "replayable" to you
Then surprise, you probabaly dont relly like that album that much
Stop trying to force yourself to like things just because its praised & popular
And stop trying to force "replayability" as legit criticism
Agreed on all points. Tpab is a masterpiece and low replay value does effect it’s accessibility. I feel like MBDTF has similar problems but luckily there are a few exceptions like All of the lights and Power

power maybe but all of the lights aged like milk. i feel like people let nostalgia get in the way of how they hear MBDTF. its really not that good. yeezus his magnum opus
This my hottest musical take but..
TPAB isn't the 9000/10 album people have been praising it as to me.
In my opinion, it's an amazing listen and very complex and dense which is great... but it hinders its replayability factor and just isn't very accessible.
It's great for seeing how mature and layered an album can be, but its severely lacking in the "fun" department
not saying every album should just be based off fun and replayability
but I am saying that MBDTF doesn't run into this problem
'nuff said
These walls, King kunta, alright, hood politics, complection are all enjoyable listens dont just focus on U & mortal man op

I tend to listen and watch the things that I don't like very often. Trying to find something I didn't before or trying to look at it from a different angle.
I wouldn't call that a bad thing

nah, DAMN can get very raw
and Morale is very honest
but TPAB just feels like a f***ing 3 hour long history lesson with a boring teacher
That’s not true at all lmao
How is it not lol, and im talking in regular song time lengths heres. Not epics or classical parts.
Everything i genuinely enjoy in music is "replayable" to me. Because i like hearing the song that i find enjoyable due to me enjoying it.
No s*** some songs you have to be in a mood for as well, but i would say thats literally all music. You play whatever the current mood is. You wouldnt play U when youre happy etc. Idk who expects to listen to everything all the time.
But inherent "replayability" itself makes no sense. Why would you replay something only here n there or barely at all for yourself that you genuinely like & get enjoyment out of? Generally speaking. Especially since most songs arent a time sink or attention commitment like a movie or video game.
Literally any songs i dont go back to at all or little, theyre not songs i would put very high up even if i still enjoy them to an extent.

Ok but that doesnt have to due with inherent replayability attached solely to the album itself.
I still play a good chunk of the album myself to this day.
Why?
Because i genuinely enjoy those songs thus theyre replayable for me since i want to hear the songs i actually legit enjoy.
"Replayability" as an argument in general is a lazy & fake truth angle imo. Its like trying to give credibility to your disinterests without sounding mean, or without saying you just plainly dont vibe with it much. Its a disrespectful back handed comment imo, as a general statement.
I respect if you or others dont like the album or that it isnt one of your favorites, but i just disagree with the replayability point in of itself.
No jab to you personally tho I apologize if i came off aggressive or harsh. Just that its a pet peeve of mine, & a sentiment i hold in general when it comes to music discussion.
