I used to think streaming bad but then it made my music listening experience so much easier
You don’t own the music
Artists don’t get much from it
People listen to way too much music every week and don’t appreciate it or let it sink in
Artists now drop bs bundles full of uninspired music to get more streams to get more money
It’s terrible for music in general
I didn't own a CD collection anyway I just pirated
It's because we don't have a lot of local CD shops (at least not early 2010s which is when I started listening to albums)
Artists have been turning their albums into weed plates by bloating it with unnecessary songs in order to boost streaming numbers. Look at Drake, Migos, Rae Sremmurd, etc.
Even with these bullshit "Deluxe" albums where they tack on another project to that album and in return it ruins the album
Most artists who bloat their albums weren't making great projects before the streaming era
Drake did make great albums before the streaming era tho so I'll give you that one
