I get this periodically from time to time and im up all night. Usually I have to get out of bed do something else like watch TV or something. Then when I return to bed I try to sleep in a different position. Then I meditate and count my breathes
About 4, which is awful.
On a related note, you guys should check out the Sleep Cycle app. It’s an alarm clock app that also monitors your sleep pattern. You can either set it to monitor your breathing through your phones mic or use a Fitbit or similar device.
It monitors your stages of sleep every night and compiles the data, and the best/main point of it is that you set a window when you want to wake up rather than a specific time, and it will wait until you are in a light sleep cycle and then set the alarm off, so you never get pulled out of REM sleep and feel gross.
If you’re a mapper, it’s so f***ing clutch because you pretty much eliminate ever having those naps where you just wake up feeling worse.
