how long you been lifting for
you need a program you enjoy, that is by far the most important part
something that is challenging but fair and contains movements you "like" (mainly to do with accessory lifts, cant really replace the compounds)
and yeah music helps of course as others have suggested
It’s not really about having fun.
Might seem boring at first while you’re scrawny but once you get a hang of it you’ll probably start enjoying yourself more.
But until then go into it with a more serious approach
at the end of the day though lifting weight is lifting weight if the core activity is boring to you small changes aren't going to fix it
maybe get a partner? personally i only go alone but going with someone especially if they know what they are doing can be a big motivator for some people
I have the same issue tbh. I worked out consistently for 4 straight months and never learned to enjoy it enough. Have worked out in weeks and need to get back but I don’t want to
Making a good playlist of music that you like to workout too, find a partner that will push you, take some preworkout, find a good plan, make sure you're eating good too. Once you start to see improvement and muscle, that'll make you wanna go everyday
youre not working out hard enough man.
Do you have a goal? Look at it as a grind. Thats what makes it fun for me.
Weight lift for a sport. Go to a local club of whatever you want to play and change your program in order to train for something, instead of just doing it to get big or look good or w/e.
Build out some insane playlists, buy some dope workout clothes if that helps (it hyped me up ) and do some cardio and stretching first to get in the zone and get your heart rate up.
Also, it’s easy to take more time between sets then you think you need. Keep the energy up. Focus on form and coordinating your breath with your reps, it’s actually very meditative. You should also be “pushing” (I’m blanking on the proper terms) twice as fast as you’re returning to you’re initial setup for each exercise. You want to challenge your muscles stability as the weights are coming back and explode out as you actually push/pull the weight.
Last thing is working out is just f***ing boring and a pain in the ass sometimes. Just gotta accept that.
Also working out at home is boring af.
Going to the gym is fun at least you can check out hot chicks or be around a bunch of people with the same goal. It’s motivating.
Just think about you getting buff and pulling hella shorties this summer that should be enough motivation
If you find the pump boring idk what to tell ya.

This. Working out at home just isn’t the same.
Before quarantine I was going to equinox all the time and working out around some of the hottest girls imaginable is an insane boost.

Yep. The why makes the how enjoyable
set goals, work towards them, accomplish them, feel good.
