Weight lift for a sport. Go to a local club of whatever you want to play and change your program in order to train for something, instead of just doing it to get big or look good or w/e.
This motivated me too. Used to work out to get my tennis game as good as it could be
what is that sentence
ur reason for the doing the activity is what makes the activity enjoyable not the activity itself
how long you been lifting for
Basically a beginner lol. I try every once in a while but never stick to it.
Yep. The why makes the how enjoyable
idk, i dont think this is very good advice. i think you still need to get enjoyment from the actual activity itself otherwise it's really easy to get lazy especially when the payoffs are long-term and require rigid consistency

Good point. How should OP go about this in your opinion?
Liam Neeson movies and vape lol
And of course music.
Resistance bands are cool too if you want to switch it up.

well i posted a couple of suggestions on the first page but that's stuff that works for me, someone who enjoys it already
some people will never find it enjoyable no matter what changes around the edges they make because the core idea of moving heavy s*** is kind of fixed lol

This is solid advice, feel that for running. I can never just run endlessly on my own, but at footy training it's way easier with a group, purpose and a ball in your hand
you have to actually get into it. do a bunch of research and get a program and focus on stuff like doing new exercises to find the ones you like and increasing weight in a certain pattern and stuff. if you treat it like a hobby (because it is) you’ll start to find ways to get your own enjoyment out of it. even if i’m feeling really lazy i still go because it clears my mind and makes me feel good. you have to enjoy it!
what's ur program?
I basically just do various types of dumbbell curls and squats. I don't have a gym membership, nor would I in a pandemic.
Tbh I never have time to be bored because I'm always being exhausted
Maybe you're not pushing hard enough?
