Participation trophies are only until like middle school. Which is fine. High school is when you individually gonna break out or not in sports

My brother and I both used to run track when we were in school. He would come home with several 1st places and I had my participation ribbon, maybe a 4th place here & there. My brother and father would call me a "fruit" and I would have to eat my dinner on the couch because I had not earned the right to sit at the winner's table. These days, they're both depressed, obese men in sexless relationships with women they hate. So maybe you should treat your kids like garbage, so they can grow up to be greater than you, just as it should be.
