Do you fully pronounce your words?
How fast do you speak?
My bad I glossed over this
All I can say is I try to pronounce my words but my flow is off due to briefly pausing between words, as if there’s a comma. I don’t really speak fast
Honestly opening my mouth more and emphasizing last letter of a word kind of helped, but it’s a tough habit to establish
Could be that, but I mean I always try to enter the interviews all confident but maybe the way I speak gives off the vibes that I’m awkward?
Again, I don't know what you sound like, but I've heard quite a few weird voices in my lifetime, including my own, who have done well in life.
Check your posture, your sound level, body language, eye contact, etc. Interviewing is also a numbers game, even for stellar candidates, so take that into account.
If you're still in college or even an alum, do a mock interview at your career center.
Put a pen or pencil sideways between your teeth and read out loud as much as you can. That'll help with pronunciation.
Then, read things out loud and say a between every word.
For a example a like a this a. Eventually, you'll be able to only say the a in your head, and finally, you won't need it at all hopefully slowing your speech down and helping with pacing making you sound more confident.
I say this purely speculating what your voice sounds like based on your description.
Edit: I see up there you say you already speak slowly. I imagined it was fast. I think maybe take a few singing lessons. They can really help you make your voice sound as pleasant as possible and a lot of the things taught overlap with good speech.

You’re doing good. Talking slow >>>> talking fast
Also keep making a habit of opening your mouth more like you’re doing. If you’re alone, talk to yourself outloud while doing this to help build it
Also, another big thing is that you just accept this this is the voice you were with. You may hate it, but it’s yours. Own it. Once you can find a way to feel comfortable, you’ll probably think about your voice less as well, which will make the words come out a bit smoother.
Go the extra mile and try to pay for some speech therapy classes as well. I’m sure it will be much more worth it than a surgery, which should really be a last resort. It’s kinda like an obese person gettin Liposuction. They’re not fixing the root problem, just the surface level issue.
If you make a serious effort to combine all of these, you may see some positive results.
99% of people hate the sound of their own voice

The way you think about yourself when you speak may be projecting itself via body language and attitude. This could be killing your job prospects, rather than your voice itself. I’ve never heard of somebody not getting a job JUST because of their voice (not trying to invalidate your experience, just saying)
imagine ops speech is perfect in like a british accent or something
like great he can speak well but at what cost

You right man, I been contemplating corrective jaw surgery (Cuz to be fair my face kinda developed unevenly), though it’s extremely expensive, invasive, and idk if it’ll even fix this issue
But yeah I been trying to get into self acceptance and owning for who I am, plus practicing some good habits. I been trying to add more “color” into my voice, but I get worried it may just make me sound annoying

mine slightly resembles a Russian accent lol

Try not to worry about sounding annoying. It’s not your job to care about how people perceive you, just keep trying things that work for you unapologetically because you deserve to feel yourself. I believe you can do it bro, it will just take some time, discipline and patience. Trial and error is key
Last words, if you make this your mission to overcome this, you’ll feel on top of the world when you finally do. This will show in every single one of your interactions, you’ll exude that confidence that you lacked before

That’s why I been trying to practice it, whether it be through speaking to my parents or hanging out with friends
We are as we are. Some things can't be changed (or is at least very, very tough/expensive/whatever to change).
You have 2 choices:
Feel bad for yourself and give up
Or
Realize that it is what it is, everyone has something they don't like about themselves.
Spend your energy and focus on things you CAN change. Leveling yourself up.

Doing my absolute best going with the latter choice, giving up is some loser s*** fr

That's the spirit
You sound like you’re creating this belief about yourself
Snap out of it bruh. Stop saying your voice is awkward and it’ll stop feeling awkward
You overthinking it is probably making it sound worse then you really think it is
Try learning another language. If the problem does not persist, its psychological

I already speak Persian and Turkmen, though I speak English 95% of the time nowadays
just curious @op what specifically is going on with your mouth that is causing the speech problem?

Tongue thrusting out basically, but it might also be my narrow smile...who knows
@op people be saying I have lisp but idgaf it’s your voice F*** WHAT THEY SAY
People don’t actually think of others that much op, no one probs cares.
Think about how you’d feel on your deathbed.. would you rather have lived a life giving a f*** what others think or not? That’s the choice you can make
Also you thinking it’s an issue is definitely going to make you more anxious when you speak and make it worse
Didn’t read op so not sure if I even addressed the main issue but hey ho
