If I got tested (urine std test) like last year and tested negative for chlymydia and gonorrhea and was told I have nothing to worry about by the medical staff, it’s extremely unlikely that I have any underlying conditions of some major s*** like HIV/Herpes or anything right?

I don’t have any symptoms or anything to really prompt this thinking but I’m just kind of paranoid from stumbling upon threads on Reddit related to that randomly so I figured I’d ask cause I read some threads where mfs talked about living with HIV Aids & herpes and other s*** and how they didn’t know they had anything and then it just popped up out of nowhere and changed their life.

I’ve been in a relationship for 2.5 years at this point and have never cheated on my partner and likewise she is loyal to me, we are 100% monogamous, so I’m not not really worried in that regard. I’m just type worried because I was a s***addict like RIGHT before we got together, I was out here wylin.

I will set up a more extensive test within the next couple months to get some peace of mind (which I’m not really worried fr fr this is really just paranoia but I just keep thinking about how easily I could have caught some life altering s*** from how I was moving, s*** is crazy )

Why'd you get tested last year if you and your girl been together and loyal for 3 years?

Because I hadn’t really gotten tested often before that and I wanted to be sure I wasn’t giving the person I love anything I guess/ was paranoid.

if you're scared, get another test just to ease your mind

it's funny you mention Chlamydia, bc if you test too early or during a dormancy period (like you said, no symptoms) you can get a false negative.

there's ppl who have it for years and don't know until they get a second test done, because they don't have an outbreak

Sounds like you might’ve tested during the incubation period so I wouldn’t say you’re in the clear yet. You might have to test again in a couple weeks to make sure.

I get paranoid about this s*** too. Everytime i get a sore throat or runny nose i think i have HIV lmfao

I know it sounds like I’m joking but I’m dead ass serious. It’s crazy how much my mind has changed in the last 3-4 years. I used to think casual s***and hook ups were the biggest marker of success I could achieve besides getting a lot of money or having ownership of my time but really I was taking tons of risks on some stupid s***.

Like I guess I’m thankful to a degree for getting promiscuity out my system and gaining experience but at the same time I could have f***ed myself up easily wtf was wrong with me.

If I could go back, I would not have taken those risks. S*** is not worth it.

HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, syphilis, and herpes are done thru blood tests
urine tests do everything else

Good to know. I don’t think I have anything but I am going to get tested just to make absolutely sure. I can honestly say I will never engage in that kind of behavior again, I want to be with my girl forever. She makes me so happy and I especially want to get tested again thoroughly just so I can be certain I don’t have anything and didn’t give her anything. I’m like 97% sure but I’d rather be 100%.

Same goes with most STDs. Your immune system is going to have a weird reaction when its introduced foreign diseases

also lots of people live with herpes or hiv without even having any symptoms and they don't find out til years later, so i just get paranoid at the smallest things

you have to make sure those STDs are on the panel that you're drawing

for example, herpes will only show up on a blood test if its specifically being tested for

F*** bruh that s*** is scary. The way the practitioner who collected the urine sample explained it to me was that I didn’t have anything to worry about because the test would have shown positive if I had anything, so I guess I misunderstood.

I think I am also being paranoid though. Just going to pray about it and do what I need to do to get confirmation.
