DR LONGSTROKEHIV results were negative, praise god 😭🙌 I figured it would be but I’m glad I made sure.
also did a siphylis test. Will know about that in a day or two, which I’m sure will also be negative.
Have to go to a different provider to get a herpes test done.
Why all the sudden paranoia tho? You know it takes about 3 weeks for stds to show up in a test. And hiv takes about 6 months to show on a test.

Idk I guess I just stumbled upon people on Reddit (ider how tbh) last night talking about living with diseases and getting STDs/HIV/etc and to be fair it was a lot of gay/bi men in the comments talking about their experiences living with the s*** or contracting the s*** and how diseases were asymptomatic and just popped up out nowhere and changed their whole life. there were also a lot of women talking about it; it’s not like gay men are the only people who catch HIV/other STDs.
The nonchalant sexually promiscuous behavior they described that they engaged in reminded me of the way I was moving in the past before my relationship and I realized f***, my body count is in the 30s (and I’ve only ever been in 2 relationships, so most of that was from hook ups) and I’ve barely ever worn condoms during my hookups, so I thought there could be a real possibility that I had some s*** and just didn’t know it.
But I’m also going through a lot of stress dealing with some s*** at my house while also getting certifications for my job so I thought the stress compounded and just made me neurotic idk

Oct 31, 2024·1 replyTypically when you go for a screening they draw blood to test for hepatitis and HIV .
However they don’t test herpes because if you have had a herpes cold sore before (very common), you will pop positive for genital herpes even if you never had an infection in that area at all.
They prefer to wait until you experience a herpes outbreak, in which upon visual inspection , they will determine if it is in fact a herpes infection .
I literally read the fine print of my planned parenthood paper that explained all this , maybe you should read more or something idk

Depends on how much you pay/ where you get tested, some do it n 15 minutes but results can come back like that or 2 days.

I used to think casual s***and hook ups were the biggest marker of success I could achieve besides getting a lot of money or having ownership of my time but really I was taking tons of risks on some stupid s***.
Like I guess I’m thankful to a degree for getting promiscuity out my system and gaining experience but at the same time I could have f***ed myself up easily wtf was wrong with me.
