Aye man folks can rag on me and disagree all they want but whether they like it or not it’s a viable option at the end of the day that has worked out well for a lot of people and will continue to do so.

I just offered my little 2 cents. I know it’s not an option for everyone and a lot of dudes aren’t with it, but people can’t complain about their position in life if they don’t do anything to change it. This is one of the ways to do so.

I took this path and Im on course to graduate and commission with no debt very soon. What works for me may not work for anyone else here though I acknowledge that, everyone’s different

Good for people who are straight out of HS and feel lost.

Live in a military area and can confirm plenty of military girlfriends and wives are getting d***ed down by dudes who they aren't with.

All I’m trying to say is this: it’s a great resource but you have to have an endgame in mind and go in with a plan. If you don’t (which a lot of people don’t) you will get f***ed.

A security clearance, money saved, GI bill, and a VA homeloan are worth it imo and that’s just a small part of the deal.

If you’re in your late 20s and have a college degree you can go through OCS and become an officer

If you’re in you’re mid to late 20s and want to work on a masters you can join rotc (2 year program)

I’ve been kinda thinking about it. I just want the perks with the least amount service required in a non combative position. I feel like at 24 I’m kinda too old for it tho
