I’d say Mach Hommy quoting 90s rap legends is similar vibes as Tyler. Tyler sampling Al Green is not the same as Hov sampling his dead homeboy or someone he has worked with for years in Snoop or another contemporary in the Wu
Hov quoting people he came up in the game with is a bit different … along with the verbal part of hip hop always relying on outside quotes or cliches … now Hov quoting his friends just makes their lines more potent and edged in stone

Yeah I know they're credited but tyler is credited as sole producer when he essentially did nothing with the sample other than lay his vocals is what I was getting at.

Most songs have things that f***ing loop. Drum patterns, Melodies, chord progressions all loop throughout most songs
Not every sample gets chopped into 16th notes like dilla, Sometimes producers just loop a short or large piece of a song
And you still ain’t shown me or anyone in this thread your “deeper knowledge of production”
You have the ability just like any other hip hop fan to tell if a sample makes a new loop out of a song like it should versus taking the established groove that the og song uses. It's not hard
I should loop a 70s city pop track put it through cassette vst emulators or maybe Amp simulation throw a few occasional detuned saw wave notes with saturation n cal it my beat lol stop playing dumb
