i mean you have every right to think my EP isn't perfect, fair enough. But I truly believe it is. If I had more resources, I could make an EP/album even better than 8 Years A. Why not? I'm capable

u are and thats what u should do
    look for resources to improve
where did u lack? what can i do better next time? etc

Yeah, you're right. I'll stop the posting on KTT tbh - people know enough about 8 years A now to go check it out themselves. Thnks for all of the advice; I can tell it came from a very good place

of course bro. this s*** is hard as hell. no one said you have to stop posting on ktt cause ktt is funny, informative and entertaining but maybe don't do it in connection to your artist project

I provide feedback to everyone that posts on CS as a way to give back to people. It also helps me to improve my musical ears by being able to point of flaws in other people's work and giving a reason why

Yeah, been sending lots of emails to blogs. Waiting for the results - they get 400 emails a day. I've been reposted by some small blogs so it's doing something. Just don't have the budget fore PR, otherwise 8 Years A would be reviewed by big magazines/blogs

See the fact you even getting blog posts means you are making progression

Just use that momentum and run it up

DM tastemakers on IG n Youtube n Twitter and let em know you are getting a small spark out here

Link them the blog posts about yourself when you are introducing your music to em

  • also try create video clips
and find people to work with, good to spread out ur fanbase

Yeah, been getting blog posts less than a year into making music - so it isn't anything new at this point. But i definitely want a pitchfork review - that's my main goal

pitchfork is what helped me to remould my love for music. As much as pitchfork has fallen off, it still has a special place in my heart

i understand that u could get alot of views from it tho

of course; most of it is trolling but I do honestly believe this album is 10/10. You can disagree, but that's something i believe. Thank you for listening to my EP 3 times

If you're referring to hip hop - that's definitely not true. True for indie/alternative artists

It is. Once you’ve been around success, you can see it’s the same everywhere. No matter the scene. Don’t throw your eyes at other people. You only know 1% of their story.

You got something great going for yourself - Keep it going. That’s what matters.
