Still bump Odd Toddlers & VCR to this day
And who doesn't. B****** is a top 3 Tyler album in terms of production
God bless your eardrums @op
Blackened White is a classic
Underrated. Better than any tyler project imo
Still bump Odd Toddlers & VCR to this day
Odd Toddlers holds up amazing, probably one of the best-aged old Tyler tracks

Its the sample
Crazy crazy throwback for me reading thru that list
No way most of this holds up as good music but man they really had me in a chokehold in high school lol I remember being excited for almost all of these.
Gotta relisten to No Idols soon tho pretty sure that was a low key amazing tape

No Idols the only old OF release I actually go back to for non nostalgic reasons
S*** has some of my favorite Alc production oat
Earl Sweatshirt - Earl
I haven’t played this one in years. Kinda funny to think he’s probably one of the best rappers today and his personality and themes are now entirely different than how they are in here.
In context this is probably the best rapped OF mixtape yet and the most offensive with a lot of rape talk and edgy curses. But a little more clever rhyme schemes. While I prefer Tyler’s more storytelling focused approach on B******, it’s nice to get variety with Earl and develop the OF sound. Overall pretty good, and best Tyler production so far.
Fav songs: Earl, Couch, Luper, Stapleton.

my favorite tyler production is on here
luper is such an uncanny valley song, those piano notes with earls light storytelling gives that eerie feeling
i love it

Couch is a top 5 Tyler beat to this day
Tyler, The Creator - B******
It's been a few good years since I played it in full and I didn't remember it being this great. First off, B****** and Inglorious are both amazing songs where he goes hard on the emotion and shock value, I also like the idea of the album beginning and ending in a therapy session.
Still imperfect with a lot of songs that aren't as high as the peak moments. These would be: Seven, Odd Toddlers, French, Assmilk, VCR/Wheels, mostly the grimier songs here that leave the most impression.
Even the best songs are a little edgy but it's what I want to hear from OF lol. I think a lot of the bars are clever and it reminds me of Eminem / horrorcore rap. It has that indie quality but much better than the first tape and has a lot of interesting ideas. Even if he would end up doing them better years later.
Forgot about seven. Gotta relisten to this s*** soon
