if ur part of it ur part of the problem

nah, you're in a job with great benefits and opportunities.

a lot of people join the military for a better life because they're trying to remove themselves from a bad situation. and the military provides people better options.

OP, the military literally has a million dollar marketing campaign to prey on young individuals with no direction . The purpose of their regime is to serve Imperialistic desires that only benefits selfish old rich white men that will never be near any danger in their meaningless lives.

Give yourself a year to find yourself a little man. You're so damn young and have crazy potential to do a lot of things just based off that. You have this HUGE idea that because you're not talented or skilled now this is something inherent, but that's complete bullshit. Every master was once a complete and utter amateur. They just gave themselves time, found what they loved, and stuck at it.

You think this is a urgent decision but it is not , life is VERY long! Don't feel rushed to work for someone elses (selfish) dream. Breathe, read, chill, time is on your side, son.

If you don’t have anything going for yourself f*** it.

I was gonna join the marines until my pops got me involved with a trade been working ever since.

The fact that everyone here thinks that the only thing you do in the army is shoot people shows that you guys aren’t as smart as you think you are. I’m going to basic training then I’m getting a job. I’m not going to Iraq.

Then you won't be on active duty you'll be in the reserve

You do know you can join the military without experiencing any combat? 5% of the "jobs" in the military are on the front line. Of that 5%, 5% of those people experience actual combat.

Theres a better chance you spend your entire military career cleaning toilets than shooting people.

Nobody goes to college for an education

You go to college network and to get lit

You can be a art major from Cornell and get a job in investment banking making 150K right out of college

i would rather kms than trade my entire lifes time for 150k a year. investment bankers truly soulless

Yeah I know that but if he's talking about going through his training getting stationed and then try and get a get a job w/ the military check, that'll be in the reserves

Facts. Too much fear being perpetuated in the thread. My Homie been in the military 10 years and has Never even fired a weapon outside of training and he’ll be the first to tell you he ain’t tryna see no combat.

If I knew then what I know now, I’d have joined him. You just can’t beat those benefits. He’s in law school now and doesn’t pay a dime.
