It's not about the palate of comic book movie. It's just the fact that the hype died after endgame. Disney did the same "beating a dead horse" strategy with Star wars and now look how unpopular that franchise is

The hype is dying, but the movies are still accounting for the highest box office draws. 1 out of 5 of the movies that broke $200,000,000 at the box office in 2023 were Marvel or DC. Factor in shows, factor in merch, factor in games, etc.

Sure but it's only gonna be diminishing returns from here. The only thing marvel has lest up their sleeves is Deadpool 3. If the movies aren't amazing marvel is gonna go the way of Star wars and only get shows for the fans

Marvel and Star Wars are owned by the same company. They basically just used Star Wars to help build out Disney+ and kept Marvel as their film workhorse. They can just switch them back and forth forever. They probably will. All while remaking their classics.

Disney+ is a success because people love Disney sure but that doesn't guarantee a permanent hold over the market. If we've seen anything with box office recently and covid the movie industry can f*** up just from a couple bad movies
