I'm experiencing this phenomenon where the hood is being left behind by everyone except crackheads and old people.
    S***s a desert down here

    Can anyone relate?
All my peeps moving to New York

When I went down to visit for Thanksgiving I saw the projects i grew up in Louisiana got better and worse. The houses were updated with new brick and actual fences but apparently the crime went up. Which means it must be real bad cause it was bad before then. Most everyone I grew up moved out of there a long time ago but just going off the look it doesn't look like a ghost town yet. @21stSavage

No new shops or restaurants were being built and it still looked like mostly black people there. I think gentrification is gonna miss that area for a long long time

The houses usually get those fences cause people need to be extra careful.

From my end you can't even leave your clothes to dry outside or you'll get them stolen.

Most people moved out cause they scared to go outside at this point.
But I like the experience of meeting old people from my childhood, also my family is there.

Yea but then my dad got a better job and we moved to the city. S***s bunk man but now the neighbouring towns around our city that used to be good are turning into crack dens

  • Jan 2, 2020

i grew up basically after all the white flight in my area and after it went to complete s***

we had a popular ass mall years ago that was just vacant during most of me growing up bc people kept getting killed there and wasn’t nobody able to buy s***

SO this big ass company Cerner bought the mall, tore it down and now they have an insanely huge headquarters/complex (like it’s hard for me to even describe how huge it is in relation to just all the houses/lack of anything around it) and all these rich dudes commute there and just commute back to wherever the f*** they live

so LIKELY my area is going to be gentrified within the coming years once more industry pops up around it and the whites flight back now that everything is foreclosed/cheap as f*** and all the people get swindled out of their homes

Growing up in the hood was beautiful before the smartphone era.

I remember turning anything we could find on the streets into a toy with the homies.

But moving out is the best option, black wealth will be 0 by 2053 so prepare yourselves for whatever is coming

I noticed that, when I was getting s*** on the music section for saying I moved out the hood.

They said I was white and a b**** and the hood don't want me back

KTT tends to think the hood is like on the music videos.

Like how yall hood niggas and can't find a single reason to move out,

I can't keep sleeping on a double bed with 4 of my cousins in my grandma house forever f*** that

Bro you got to realize that most of ktt music section is white teenagers who are fascinated with the “streets” for some reason. Just look at the music they hype up. I don’t take anything those dudes say serious
