Nah, Doja Cat has that potential to be the next star

Maybe Lil Nas X, but he 100% right about hip hop not respecting him so I can see him doing something outside of rap possibly. Idk.

Doja Cat doesn't have the mentality for it. She's already cracking under the pressure. Same as Post Malone.

Post Malone is already a superstar with all of his hits lmao his latest album just flopped, same with Honestly, Nevermind. He will be back with his next album.

Nah Post Malone never hit that Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Drake, The Weeknd tour levels.

He does numbers, but didn't have the mentality for the supe om.

It's because he's more silent and doesn't want to be in the spotlight that much

He has bigger numbers than some artists you listed

    Hollywood's Bleeding is 4x platinum
Beerbongs & Bentleys is 5x platinum
    Stoney is also 5x platinum

He also has 5 diamond singles

He will be fine. Drake also never did a stadium tour btw.

If you're an avid Hip-Hop head & seek for artists outside of the mainstream, then no.... Hell f***ing no.

    Also, K.Dot & Cole exist.

I know they drop once every blue moon, but still.

    How is pop on top?

Y’all let the radio and the fake billboard charts fool y’all into thinking these pop stars are bigger than they are.

The rap superstars used to be the kids who didn’t quite fit in for whatever reason, even the cool 90s street niggas we idolize. They had a driving pathology to take what they were made to think was a “weakness” by others and turn it into a strength

Now the rappers are the kids who made those kids feel like they had a weakness. Why would they translate deeply, there’s no pathology for identifying with being “other”. The kids who normally would’ve become rap superstars are doing other s*** that isn’t related to music at all because of social media granting more convenient avenues for expression of self

The lil niggas making rap now are the ones who made Pac feel the need to overcompensate for being in touch with his feminine side - not the Pacs. The rappers now are the mfs who rejected Drake and made him feel not black enough - not the Drakes. These people are much less interesting than the Pacs and the Drakes

This may ultimately be why influencer culture + rapid decline in financial viability in music weeding out the genuine rappers who have something to say and become from the ones who just wanna be in rap cause of streams social media etc will be a good thing
